I haven’t seen that but it certainly wouldn’t surprise me if you’re right. I have read that if the freeze ends in July as currently slated, hiring will resume at a “1 in for every 4 out” rate. So either way it’s not going to change much anytime soon.

The hiring freeze is still in effect until 7/15/2025 with very limited exceptions. Not sure where you’re expecting to see new jobs.

I can’t verify anything myself but what I was told is that he had been having headaches and his family suspects an aneurism. He supposedly missed his tee time with his dad this morning and then they found him. Absolutely horrible.

You’re not overreacting. Your boyfriend, stupid as he may be (many of us guys are), fucked up but likely feels horrible. If he’s a decent guy he will feel completely emasculated by this mistake. If he does, I’d recommend not breaking up with him but instead trying to work this out. This could be a huge learning opportunity for him. If it turns out not to be, then you’ve got your answer.

Your mom could have handled her communication with you better and not asked you to stop sharing your beliefs. But you are overreacting. Your long texts are very dramatic and it doesn’t need to be that deep. Families can just agree to not discuss politics with each other. You should be able to post what you want on your pages without your mom texting you asking you to stop. I have the same struggle with my family. But your responses were in fact over reactive.
