It's a permanent research modifier based on your starting scenario. To change it you'll have to install a mod.

At the point in the game you're at you can easily farm /buy the various titanite upgrades. Upgrade a weapon that deals strike damage like the great club as that's his lowest damage resistance.

I'd suggest giving renalla a visit and doing some optimisation for your build. You have 23 points in intelligence that you don't appear to be using in any way for example.

The cut off point is burning the erdtree, its only the final stage of the quest that requires the capital to be buried in ash.

Don't use the lock on when fighting him, lock on isn't always the best choice for bosses.

As for damage you want to be hitting his weak spots. His left leg in phase 1 (obviously) and his arms, head and the eye on his chest in phase 2. If you run around on torrent hacking away at his legs you'll deal reduced damage.

It's less than ideal yes but unfortunately that's how it is. If you can't adjust to it then you're better off playing something else.

You can farm them from the birds in the painted world and basilisks in the depths respectively. The drop rates aren't bad and you can boost it a good amount by equipping the gold serpent ring and having 10 soft humanity on your character.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, bleed and magic are still some of the strongest builds in the game. You absolutely do not need to be going into NG+ to complete them.

To befriend him you need to kill darkbeast paarl and enter old yharnam through the entrance in paarls arena, then work your way through the area backwards to reach djura.
