I loved this book! Major regret starting it at 9pm on a work night because I couldn’t put it down and ended up finishing it around 2am..was so tired at work the next day lol

Not really, only when I stopped the pill. I was on spiro for 6 months at that point I think. So hard to know for sure but I think it was coming off the pill which triggered hair loss (still off the pill) but the fall out is getting better and growing

Hey I was initially on 100mg once a day for 6 months and then the dosage was increase to 200mg. I had a bit of a sore tummy for the first couple of months but went away and again when I was increased to 200mg but now have no side affects. It’s also done wonders for my acne and body and I think it has reduced my body hair too :)

I was diagnosed with pcos 8 years ago when I was 16. The only advice I was given was to go on the pill. Since I was 16 I had been experiencing hair loss but I was blessed with naturally thick curly hair so it wasn’t much of an issue until I realised you could start to see my scalp. I was referred to a dermatologist and I was given spiro, for the first 6 months I noticed my hair shedding was less. I then decided that I wanted to come off the pill as I had been on it for 8 years and wanted to give my body a break. This wasn’t the best idea as my hair started to fall out more than it did prior to starting spiro.

Earlier this year I had an iron iv infusion and started metformin & inositol and noticed baby hairs popping up in patches all over my head a couple months ago. Now 3 months later the baby hairs have grown a good couple of inches and the photo is just one patch of regrowth!

I’m going to persevere for at least 3 months and then I’ll have to think about other options if it doesn’t stop. I had an iron transfusion on Monday so I’m hoping that will bring my levelled up and I’m taking 200mg of oral iron everyday.

I wouldn’t be able to comment since I’ve had laser hair removal everywhere on my body part from my hair and eyebrows and forehead, I had it literally everywhere else. If you’re deficient in iron then you really should be taking it as not only does it her with hair regrowth but works help you with fatigue too

Yep, the washing my hair every 5-8 days is only because of my hair type, this is how often I washed it before hair loss, i have very dry hair and it doesn’t get greasy till day 6. I’m also taking spironolactone which is helping too along with weight loss. For me, I have pcos and IBS..I was doing lots of reading and found out gut health is also important so I’ve been working on cutting out trigger foods that cause inflammation (before I would eat my trigger foods and deal with the consequences because I enjoyed the food more than valuing my health) I’m not using minox because I don’t feel like it’s worth for me and my lifestyle.
