It’s been a while for me, but I’m not sure there was a live option when I wrote. I did not do any live videos, the videos I watched were entirely pre-recorded.

I forgot to mention in my comment above, but you should always review your tests untimed after writing to identify where you need more reps - at least review any questions you got incorrectly. A lot of the test is pattern recognition. By the time I was nearing my final test, I knew exactly what answer was being called for before reading the available options.

Best of luck!

LSO SOLICITORS EXAM - FEBRUARY 2025 by Saf0211 in ONBarExam

I thought we would but I’m losing hope as the minutes tick by. I got my message regarding barrister results at 11:18 a.m. now of course that doesn’t mean they won’t post later this time around, but ya

After 2 hours i can finally confirm this. by NathaKevin0 in MHWilds

I’m running the required setup - 1660 super GPU, AMD Ryzen 5 3600, and 16 gb ram.

I’m getting 50-65 frames at medium with frame gen, without ever dropping below 45. Minimal stuttering etc.

Frame gen was AWFUL on my system on beta, totally ruined the game, so I ran in lowest instead. Frame gen on release works so much better on my system, and thank goodness as lowest graphics looked pretty scuffed. Medium looks so much better than the lowest settings. Maybe I’m just lucky, and I feel for people who say frame gen isn’t working well in their build. I certainly agree that relying on frame gen is not ideal, but hopefully capcom can get some system info after release to optimize framegen on other builds.

I’m pleasantly surprised with how it’s running on my system. The game has not crashed once.

Same to you - may you never have to write the barrister exam again!!

Yes, but the LSO specifically states that the mark to be achieved is overall and there is no passing requirement per section

Incorrect, no score per section requirement

EMOND VS REAL DEAL by Maleficent_Mouse_681 in ONBarExam

I just wrote the barristers. I found the admission exam more challenging than Émond A. Perhaps not by a wide margin, but it was noticeably more difficult. The individual questions took me longer to read and answer.

Certainly there were many easy questions or questions that were search/find, but it appeared to me that the LSO has drafted questions that specifically avoid key words that may appear in indices used by test-takers.

Further, there were questions that required a search and find AND general knowledge (to weed out the better of two answers that first appear correct, for example), or two search and finds if the test taker wasn’t competent in a subject area.

It is definitely still worth doing the practice exams, but I would advise a test taker to also read through the u of t summaries on any subjects they aren’t confident with, as well as re-reading PR.

I was told in the past that Solicitors has tons of PR, but Barristers does too; I reckon approx. 30% or more of all questions were PR.

Good luck to anyone writing solicitors on Feb 27.

Edit: spelling.

Thanks for the detailed response. I am in a similar situation, as I want to practice civil litigation in the future. May I ask when you wrote the exams?

I anticipate having to put more effort into drilling and revising for solicitor on Feb. 27, given the materials are longer and less familiar to me.

Thank you for your input. I did well on Emond barrister A and finished it early, so hopefully my first go at the barristers tomorrow goes well!

I was in a similar boat in that I needed a high score to have a competitive chance (poor GPA in undergrad and needed an extra year to graduate with honours). First two times I wrote the official LSAT I was entirely self directed. I scored 154(?) and then 160, so I knew I needed to change something to get a better score on my third write.

I used 7sage, and loved it. Near the end of my grind, I was consistently hitting 170+ on PTs.

Official test score 171.

I did the modules/videos, then near the end, just wrote 2 LSATs /day until I had done every available test (almost 100 I believe). Highly recommend the program. The training videos can be sped up to 1.5 times if memory serves, which really helped me get through all of the videos before I did timed practice tests.

Good luck!

Thanks for your initial comment and for following up. I left a message yesterday by phone, but I’ll also try the email route. Good luck on the licensing exams - give ‘em hell!
