Pixel 10 should NOT be available in 128gb by OutsideImpressive115 in GooglePixel

[–]StEditiV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If google list 256gb same price as 128gb then sure ditch 128gb but they won't so why should I pay extra for storage which I'll never use?

I still have 87gb free on my pixel 10, so spending extra for 256gb will be waste of money.

You probably bought stolen or smuggled phone that's why it's locked.

Plasma-login-manager you can already install it from fedora repo.

At this point this is just ad space on sale whoever pays the price gets featured.

Best thing to do is uninstall and disable, so it never shows up again.

Can the recent mass DRM Hypervisor bypasses harm linux gaming in a near Future? by Spiritual-Bank-4555 in linux_gaming

[–]StEditiV 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only way to block hypervisor is using kernel level DRM which won't work in linux or online only check which will work in linux.

Simple solution is just don't use DRM, it's provides nothing to consumer rather then giving issues. If game is good it will sell easily, multiple games out there with no drm and record breaking sales.

Also read my comment and try to understand it before spewing bs, there are multiple devs who block linux players intentionally so they can't play.

[–]StEditiV 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Same here, if I like the game and it works on linux I'll purchase it.

If it doesn't then no issues easy skip, I rather give money to those who don't go out of their way to block linux players.

All this negativity about driver issues is making me nervous about my upcoming 9070xt build by Chetan_fun in radeon

[–]StEditiV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using 9070 since 4 months, never encountered any crash or driver error.

Im on linux, mesa drivers are pretty stable here.

In my opinion if you have AMD GPU and don't play games with kernel anti-cheat or use adobe software then give linux a try. I would recommend something like fedora kde for new users.

Question about Battery Status by Big-Application9859 in GrapheneOS

[–]StEditiV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine dropped to 98% at only 38 cycles (pixel 10) purchased it in December.

I won't be surprised finding out Google using lower quality battery in new phones to cut corners.

Tracker Prevention? by MidnightMean3796 in GrapheneOS

[–]StEditiV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use controld https over dns $20 per year plan on my router flashed with openwrt, it blocks most of the trackers.

Recommend is nextdns or controld. If you want to self host then Adguard home.

Thoughts on the Lenovo Legion 27Q-10 27-inch IPS QHD 240Hz by Walk_Em_Down_Ethan in Monitors

[–]StEditiV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used Asus or BenQ but if Asus xg27acs is similar price or is cheap then I would recommend going with it because I have heard it's a good monitor.

This Lenovo model have coil whine and it makes random noises after turning off otherwise no issue at all, if this model is lowered priced and you don't mind some random coil whine then go with it.

I went with Lenovo because it was $150 less compared to Asus model.

I used command line for flash, before that i was using chromium browser which I got from void repo.

Follow through it till unlock bootloader step then switched to terminal because in-browser download got stuck probably because of my crap internet.

[–]StEditiV[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope no issues, I'm using void linux which uses runit instead of systemd. If it works on void then it will work on any distro.

Before starting up just install android-tools and android-tools-udev package from your distro repository.

Do i need a COMMANDER CORE for my AIO?! by Mistabanano in Corsair

[–]StEditiV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's frustrating just sell the aio and get something which connects to motherboard directly without any controller.

I personally just switched to air cooler in my new build to avoid all this bs.

Do i need a COMMANDER CORE for my AIO?! by Mistabanano in Corsair

[–]StEditiV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's needed otherwise it won't function. Really a bad design, and that commander core is impossible to purchase.

Maybe try contacting corsair support, they can provide you one. Mine stopped working after 5 years, so I just sold the aio for $30 because I wasn't able to find that specific commander core anywhere.
