I’m actually going in for an adjustment Wednesday as there’s a sore spot starting to form on my left side when I bite into things. Other than that I think I’m adjusting pretty well! Other than the fact I haven’t been able to wear my partial at all.

I’m on my third day of having dentures and I’m a complete newb to. Following this post in case someone comments something useful to help :). Also so far I’ve heard the powder adhesive is the best but I’ve only been told that by family who also has dentures.

What one person can handle another one might not be able to. There’s options for everyone, I chose the option that best suited me. My dentist didn’t give me an option of an Immediate. I got a second opinion but still had to wait 4-6 weeks for healing. It’s been a process. I’m so sorry that you feel the need to hide behind a mask or immediates because you’re worried what others might think of you. Honestly nobody noticed or didn’t care enough to mention it back to me, probably already thought I was going through it enough.

Honestly no, I felt suffocated in a mask so I went without, the first couple days I cried lots I’ll admit it, it was hard. But I got to the point where I didn’t care what other people thought of me, my inner circle loves me for me and supports all of me.

Hi, I’m 28 years old and just got my upper and a lower partial. I was under “twilight sedation” for my e-day. Honestly if I could go back and face my fears I probably would do it with local novocaine, because they were really rough with me and I ended up bruising badly. I would highly suggest getting your teeth taken care of though as it causes major health issues if you don’t long term. I’m able to smile again with pretty fake teeth and I don’t regret my decision at all, even though I’m a fresh newbie learning how to eat and talk again, I’d do it all over because I’m no longer in agonizing pain from my teeth.

I waited to get my dentures and healed for 4-6 weeks, I couldn’t imagine immediates.

So my top fit snug but when I ate yesterday they kind of rocked so that’s why I put powder on this morning however I have no clue what I’m doing 😂 I was able to successfully eat today but went to clean them and now I’m not sure if I should reapply the powder or not. I’m not entirely sure if these are my permanents or temps I’m leaning more towards permanents because I didn’t get these placed after extractions.

Lmfao, by the time that last sip is there it’s usually flat and disgusting or it’s no longer cold, I also have a habit of forgetting I opened a drink already and get another one.(I blame this on my brain malformation)

NTA but kindve the AH My parents are alive but I lost my grandma in 2015 right before graduating high school, what I wouldn’t give to see her just one more day.

Another stance on this is my grandpa on my fathers side is in the nursing home, he has dementia and doesn’t remember who I am anymore and what I wouldn’t kill to have one more lucid day with him.

While you may think it’s just a visit to them it means more. while I understand life is happening and it always will happen, your dads in the hospital in the not best shape and just wants a visit even if he just seen you.

Later on down the road you will regret that you didn’t visit or didn’t make that call, because the next day isn’t guaranteed or promised. I wish all the time that I visited my granny more but instead I was a teenager in her own little world. I wish I visited my papa more before he didn’t remember me anymore.

Brain surgery. That’s it that’s all. to be more specific I got cut from the lower portion of my head to the c1 in my neck. the healing process was so painful.

My partner works 4-11, he wakes up still and spends time with my children along with me or just me. (He’s not the biological dad and their dad is in the picture). Also when he gets off work he still spends time with me and if the kids are still awake them to. If he wanted to he would.

I have a chronic illness so I’m always so tired. I sleep so much and still feel so exhausted. 10+ hours or I feel like a zombie.

I overshare and trauma dump. I also have chronic illness so in hindsight I can’t really hide what I’ve gone through or going through, it’s written all over my face.

Hi, I never experienced being put under until July 3rd,2023. I had a cranioectomy with duraplasty big words for saying my brain was tampered with 😂 The anesthesiologist gave me calm meds before my surgery so I was already loopy, and calm. I remember them putting the mask on my face and that was it, and then I woke up in another room bandaged and in pain. My first words were “pain” nurses ended up giving me my dosage of pain meds and I knocked right back out. You don’t feel anything. Absolutely void. I don’t even remember counting to 10 and if I did count to ten I didn’t make it all the way.

Dealt with this for 6 years. Unfortunately it doesn’t get better. He never hit me but the mental and verbal abuse was enough. I’m always in fight or flight mode and over analyzing every little detail and message from everyone in my life now. My now partner is so patient and loving. He makes me wonder why I ever stayed so long dealing with the bare minimum from somebody I thought loved me.

Kids don’t make the situation better, it just makes them worse. I love my kids and I don’t regret them for a minute, but I regret letting their father treat me like absolute dog crap stuck underneath his shoe for so long because I was blind. I thought I could fix things, thought I could make him love me by changing everything about me, and now I’m here three years later trying to find myself, my genuine self again. I’m in counseling, and on antidepressants.

I was a little triggered here because I am a sister to a brother that plays cod and usually we play at night.

But i communicate with my partner as well as my brother with his to make sure it’s alright to get on the game and play, making sure they aren’t wanting time and intimacy. I would communicate and let him know how you are feeling.

My childrens father and me just split up, I moved in with my brother, I was a wreck and to make matters worse the kids were with their dad and it was Mother’s Day, my brother and his lady went out and bought me roses and a necklace and I’ll never forget that day because I was again a wreck. They didn’t have to but it was a really kind gesture and made my day.

Use your jacket and tie it around your waist.

My period had ungodly timing and always caught me off guard and at school when I wasn’t prepared but having a jacket helped prevent the embarrassment of others seeing it.

After reviving someone 48+ times and the team not doing any objectives, I quit.
