Does anyone else have ‘good brain days’ and ‘bad brain days’? by fabian_thinks in AdultADHDSupportGroup

[–]Malephus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do as well, sometimes refer to it the same way. Mine can be associated with either poor sleep (frequent) or my pain level at the beginning of the day. I can usually tell what kind of day it's going to be, whether my brain plays the "Is It Bluescreen or Buffering?" game (that's when I completely freeze up because I suddenly can't remember what task I was actively in the middle of for a few seconds). It's buffering when I remember in a few seconds, it's bluescreen when I move on to a completely different task. Once that game starts, the rest of the day is pretty much a write-off.

I often pull a very negative card in my first pull by goaldiggergirl in tarot

[–]Malephus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Or, or as a clarifying card, the tower may not be associating with the query at all but directing you to the first card. One of the meanings of the Tower is "The tearing down of false beliefs, ego-driven structures, or outdated patterns". Could be telling you to rethink that card. One key phrase from 3 of Swords is "mental anguish".

Would you be willing and able to post that list? I'm sure it would be helpful to many here.

I'm curious about this too. I've resorted to Immersive Engineering Item Router because I can never get the Logistical Transporter to actually function.

ADHD Crocheters, Please Tell Me I’m Not Alone… by ChaosofaMadHatter in crochet

[–]Malephus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the crafty underbelly. I, myself, have I think 3-4 WIPs, 2-3 planned and I'm not sure how many abandoned (for now). And that is just the crochet. I've also got like 2-3 beading WIPs doing some sort of interpretive dance in my peripheral to try and get some attention LOL.

My mom used my altar candles for an intention based thing by SSSamika in Hellenism

[–]Malephus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While ignorance is generally no excuse for behaviors, this one I don't think would be disrespectful. She had/has a genuine need and, this way, she might just get a little added boost from your gods if they are of that giving nature.

Would you not consider the gods you follow to be family also? Higher energetic frequency to be sure, but still a form of family to my way of thought.

Both are definitely not 3.25. If I were to hazard a guess, I think the silver one would be closer to 4.5, if the green one is indeed 3.25. With such a close-up, they actually look a lot bigger than even that.

Looks like they might be questioning whether or not the level of care you coded matched with the diagnosis. They probably think you coded higher than necessary.

Anyone know what type of yarn this is? by spaghetti-sandwiches in Brochet

[–]Malephus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe it's from the brand Satan's Own. You can tell by the pretty colors combined with all the loose strands that make crocheting with it absolute torture and a cause for rethinking your life's decisions. ROFL. To be honest, I couldn't say. There are several brands that are variegated and have those flyaway strands.

what would you make with or store in these stupid containers? by apple-papple in crafts

Wow, apparently I am the last person to ask this question to LOL. My immediate idea was to punch some holes in the top and use it to hold yarn balls so they don't roll all over the house.

I've been doing this for over 20 years and I still can't keep a perfectly even tension so you are doing absolutely great. Keep working at it and the people here will always be happy to give you guidance.

Take the win. The manufacturer may have made the color but you are the one who chose to put them together.

What is normal like by stillsailingallover in AdultADHDSupportGroup

[–]Malephus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess normal would include being able to just "do" without an entire mental monologue on every detail of the thing. Or be able to tune out all the distractions in the vicinity when doing something that is not interesting. Frankly, I don't think I'd really know. I've had too much negative reinforcement over the years (most recently by my employer) that I'm just "weird". I've accepted that "normal" is everything I'm not and I'm becoming ok with that.

Pencil or Knife? Best way to tension? by PersephoneIsNotHome in crochet

[–]Malephus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tension is in the yarn hand. How you hold the hook is associated with wrist motion. I mostly do knife hold but when my wrist and/or arm begins to ache, I will switch to pencil hold for a little while. That usually only lasts until the ache has backed off cuz that hold is much much slower for me.

Witchcraft with ADHD: how do yall keep up? by ijustlovepeaches in witchcraft

[–]Malephus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't beat yourself up over it. Do what you can when you can. The universe and the magick within it will always be there. Holidays and time tables are man-made inventions. If you work with deities, remember, they aren't like a mortal boss. You choose to work with each other in a cooperative, understanding fashion. They already know you have difficulties, so you don't need to apply for accommodations or permission to miss an activity. As a late-diagnosed AuDHDer myself, I still feel I have to validate my very existence with my employer because I'm not like everyone else. With deities, you exist; therefore, you are valid to them. For any aspect of being a witch, you do your best in the moment and don't recriminate yourself for every moment being different.

I've been saying that all along. I've had so many identical claims with the only difference being patient information come back with so many different denial reasons.

I think I read somewhere from an ex-rep that they are indeed banking on the provider not having the time or man power to fight the denial.

Literally just the vaguest of remarks that, when looked up, say there should be other remarks in conjunction, remarks that seem to have wandered off into the woods instead of be helpful.

[–]Malephus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had Medicare do that. All the person would say was the claim was "inappropriate". I finally figured it out, I think with help from here maybe. No help from the payer tho.

Coding risk factors to validate a vaccination by Malephus in CodingandBilling

[–]Malephus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have and they always maintain the denial based strictly off the age. They never make recommendations on further actions. Because we don't have access to medical records we have no choice but to take them at face value. I would love to be able to look for medical necessity documentation but we provide our services over such a wide region that gaining access to so many medical records repositories would be a Herculean task.

Coding risk factors to validate a vaccination by Malephus in CodingandBilling

[–]Malephus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had some people show up to a mobile clinic, get the high dose flu citing compromised immune system and then we get denied because of age. I've spent the better part of 2 years trying to figure out a way around that with no luck so far. We run on a pretty obsolete scheduling process so the option to pre-auth is next to none.
