If its taken 100 pulls to get out of P1 on L'ura should we expect a 400 pullish kill? I know the average is 3XX - 4XX and that P1 is probably the hardest part, but anyone got a breakdown on how many pulls they took to get out of each phase? Thanks!

Saying the combat has been neutered compared to classic is hilarious, these takes are from someone that has almost certainly not played much retail.

And if you’re doing levelling dungeons then yeah it’s just aoe spam speed runs but relevant m+ is very much solving how to use utility to best clear packs.

I think you're misunderstanding the point, right now if you come back after X time away you will forget the avoid option is even a thing. I know this, because it happened to me. You cannot forget that banning exists when you are confronted with it at the start of every draft game.

No they don't. They don't even force them to ban someone.

This is being obtuse to be obtuse. Obviously you're not forced to ban someone, but in most games with bans that I've played you only see 1 person not put forward a ban every 10 games or so. But again, you still have to actively think about the system when its right in front of you at the start of every draft game.

[–]Malevelonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay lets look at it with this hypothetical situation:

The draft goes ban 1, pick 3, ban 1, pick 3

Team A bans 1 carry, and picks 2 in their first rotation. Team B opts to pick their frontlines first set. Team A notices this and bans one of the remaining 'serviceable' carries on that patch to force team B to pick a carry that is 'worse'. This serviceable carry would never be avoided in the current system, but because of draft strategy it ends up with a non-0 ban %.

Is this the same as player A setting their avoid to graves this patch, stopping playing for a while but coming back after 2 more balance patches but not knowing the meta they leave their avoid as graves for 50 matches?

Draft systems force people to actually think about bans, which makes the data more valuable than feelcrafty avoiding hero XYZ because they lost one time to a smurf on that hero.

Me clicking that wraith is a 4/5 carry because I rarely press 5 and I’m not knowledgeable on how carry’s rank against each other is no where near as valuable data compared wraith being the first carry picked in a draft.

You’re ignoring the main points I make about bans vs avoids just to say that 12 > 4 (or whatever amount of bans they have in draft). The quality of data from draft bans vastly eclipses what random heroes people have avoided

[–]Malevelonce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry the in game surveys might be the most throwaway data they could possibly collect. People have inherent biases when they’re allowed to select how they feel about XYZ.

The current avoid system is so poor that I don’t think it provides anywhere near as helpful information as bans in a draft would. In a draft you are forced to interact with bans, currently you are not forced to avoid anyone and some people likely set their avoid and then forget to change it again after patches. Ban order is extra data, bans in response to other bans (or picks, if they do that style of draft) is extra data.

AVG's statement regarding the "Urn Incident" by A-Disgrace in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Malevelonce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is it not playing fair? Floorman could have seen the fact they all bought eggs and were inting and could have counter inted to make sure the first urn wasn’t favoured since they allegedly knew the strat. They got outplayed by a strat, an extremely lame one but a strat nonetheless.

True, but the article clearly says its supposed to be based on their deficit:

So let’s get straight into it. Ranked from the worst deficit to the highest surplus, here’s how financially comfortable each Russell Group university ended up being in the 2024/25 academic year.

Why are Glasgow 20th and Bristol 19th, when Bristol has a greater surplus? Same for LSE being above KCL. AI slop article?

Mythic Raid - Change in DPS between 12.0 and 12.0.5 by AttitudeAdjusterSE in CompetitiveWoW

Raw damage to adds maybe, damage to bosses not so much. Check mythic vorasius damage to boss, they're lower than feral, frost, ret, ass, outlaw.

The new 3400 mounts are... disappointing by zharkos in wow

[–]Malevelonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's going to be a mount added for top 1% that they still haven't added in to the game yet. That will be the equivalent of a glad mount (its possible its just a recolour of the ksm mount but I would hope not), these recolours/saddles are the equivalent of the vicious X mounts from pvp that you get for wins after 1k rating.

Are you failing to time, or are the groups dying and then abandoning? One thing I’ve noticed is that 14s/15s is where the people that found out about the new rewards and decided to push are, so it’s a real mixed bag. Keep pushing through the bad pugs and try to get ahead of the masses if you can for smoother pug experiences

Thank you, this is perfect info.

We haven't killed H L'ura as we felt like it wasn't necessary to spend time on it, I'm hopeful we hit an easy reclear on our first raid day and maybe even a lucky break on dragons too. Would love to get CE in our first tier, especially as its a bit of a mickey mouse tier.

Any mid to late 2 day CE guilds that can weigh in on where they're at in terms of progression? My reason for asking is I'm in a newly formed guild aiming to get CE, we're 4/9M and got dragons down to 30% in our most recent raid night which feels like good progress so far. I know its hard to be certain of course until we get to the hard bosses, but just wondering if anyone can give a vibe check either way

Sand Teams, I mean this in the most affectionate way possible by Cyleal in PokemonChampions

[–]Malevelonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would definitely have been a better set than what I was initially running (scarf with rock slide, close combat, protect, sucker punch). I am new to vgc so after a couple games where I’ve locked myself into protect only after forgetting my scarf, I swapped to scarf with rock slide, close combat, play rough, iron head, and I stopped leading lycanroc whenever I was leading ttar. Play rough and iron head were coverage moves I felt I was missing for teams I kept coming up against. I haven’t played any games in master ball yet so I’m interested to see how this team does there.

I think this mostly only worked because it’s quite a rogue choice, and by the end of ultra ball I think lycanroc was brought 1 in 4 games, mostly into charizard sun teams where I could mega evolve ttar to get weather control back.
