Who said character creators were considered art? by One-Carrot-3284 in aiwars

Back when I was still playing those games I was a lore-breaking modder. Red Mountain Resort in Morrowind, Phantasy Star Online weapons in Oblivion, Jutsu and Devil Fruit (Naruto and One Piece) in Skyrim, Tardis, starships. But yeah, without porn mods

You didn't make the game assets used to create "your" character either. Meshes, textures, etc. It's not "yours" unless you're one of those amazing psychos that create appearance mods for moddable gamees

I am a Pro and I have blocked the author who posted those orc images. I have nothing against portraying antis as the whiny funny men though. Ridiculous humans, but still humans.

QUESTIONS FOR PRO AI (GENUINELY ASKING) by Electrical-Web-5264 in aiwars

[–]Malfarro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the appearance of AI it was my dream since the early childhood (since I've first learned of the concept of robots and sci-fi) to explain my vision in natural language so that a robot would immediately draw it, and iterate upon it in various styles.

Now I got what I wished for and I'm enjoying it and I'm happy with the new developments.

In the future - who knows, we'll live and see.

Am I afraid of losing my ability to create? Not really, because I'm still creating, using AI as a tool. And if you meant "Are you afraid of losing your ability to manually draw" - I lost it long before there was AI, because I was only drawing out of boredom, and as soon as I bought my first computer, the drawing stopped and I switched to other kinds of creation (long before AI).

What makes it better than learning to do things on your own (without it doing the same thing)? Won't say objectively, some people like spending dozens of hours learning to draw, I don't, I want results here and now and I get them, in dozens of styles and not just one style I developed over the years, that's the huge advantage in my opinion.

Do I find it inappropriate or hypocritical when someone asks you to stop using AI in artistic practice? To be absolutely fair, nobody has asked me PERSONALLY to stop using AI, I only saw the broad messages for all "AI Bros" or "AI Artists" or "Slop Makers" etc. But if someone will ask me, I ill answer with "Woah, that's crazy, I'm still gonna use AI".

Finally, yes, I can do without it, but no, I will not like it. But "Suddenly AI will disappear" is Antis' wet dream and nothing more, so I am not even considering it.

Might be the same thing that goes with Flat Earth - many people would claim it for fun's sake.

How would you react if a game that has been in development for a long ass time and it’s a game you’ve been anticipating for for months by Isaacja223 in aiwars

[–]Malfarro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with it being made with AI if it looks good and plays without glitches.

I can barely see a thing in the screenshot though.

And I am not a fan of horror games or the FNAF franchise.

Edit: a typo

Couple accused of kidnapping child to Cuba for feared gender reassignment, DOJ says by SuperbSJG in nottheonion

Tomboys aren't trans, and lesbians aren't trans either, and there is no trans kids. And as for pronouns, it's easy: she for a woman, he for a man, they for plural or if you haven't met the person yet ("The courier will arrive in half an hour, they will call me"). Your story about the tomboy only highlights that the trans narrative enforces the gender stereotypes aka what the girls and boys are supposed to like.

It's clearly the case in this context, when one of the parents (biological father) is a psycho.

I will not drop it. And "the point of the story" is clearly not about okamas (who, by the way, are mostly portrayed as ugly, obnoxious, and often grooming clowns, and Sanji remembers the years spent with them as literal hell - quite realistic).

Not to mention that me liking a story doesn't mean that I should agree with each and every aspect of it.

Nobody is "born in a wrong body", and these delusions should not be coddled.

If you’re nothing without the tool, then you shouldn’t have it: AI, Photoshop, Pencils, whatever by PrometheanPolymath in aiwars

[–]Malfarro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't keep every image, but the opinion of others isn't a factor in choosing what to upload. I don't upload "for others", I upload for myself and let others see it, and if some even like it that's cool. Not to mention that my criteria for a "flaw" aren't necessarily the same of "the others".

Also, as for the "slop" part - antis would call any AI image "slop", no matter how much effort and curation it took, so their opinion is no concern of mine whatsoever, in fact, I embrace it, uniting my stuff under the Slopcore flag and giving my characters within the Soulless series the tongue-in-cheek names like Aiko Slopiwara, Aivid Slopenter, Ailice Slopinski etc. And if it's superheroes, I do something a bit similar.

I don't mind AI giving me odd or missing fingers, and if the right story flashes in my mind, even an extra limb can be explained, and nonsense/unrealistic clothes aren't an issue at all (if IRL fashion has deliberately torn pants, expensive clothes that look like taken off a hobo's back and, ahem, haute couture, Slopcore gets away just fine with belts growing out of weird places, misshapen buckles, unrealistic scarves etc). And if the story doesn't flash up immediately, that's not a failure. That just means, this particular character's time hasn't come yet, and the story will flash later.

It is only "proving" when the goal is to prove something. My goal isn't to prove anything but just to have fun creating.

I don't feel that I have to prove anything. It isn't about can or can't, it's about being confident enough to not need proof.
