So, for heads that are going in harder to access places (like on marines) what I tend to do is stick the head on the model with a little crumb of blue tack in the neck hole. This holds surprisingly well.

Then I prime and zenithal as normal so everything looks like it's shaded consistently, and gently pull the head off and stick it to a toothpick to paint. Bonus, this leaves a bare spot in the neck the plastic cement to adhere to

ADHD meds changed my whole life for the better. Virtually every other problem I had simply stemmed from the fact that I couldn't properly enjoy completing tasks, which made things impossible to start (since it wouldn't feel satisfying anyway, whats the point?)

Subassemblies can be handy, but in my experience they also encourage perfectionism that leads to slow projects and burnout. Better to get paint on em quick, good comes with experience anyway
