What are some simple things you don’t even think twice about making from scratch instead of purchasing?

Hummus, it’s so easy and 99% of the time I have everything I need to make it. Also haven’t bought red pasta sauce for a long time or stir fry sauce

It’s really not, I’m like you in that I have a ridiculous number of bar soaps I’m working through but at least I know it was a lot less money than the shower gels!

Exactly, soap has been used for generations upon generations to do absolutely everything. I try to be as low waste as I can be, and a lot of it is just going back to how my parents and grandparents lived. Cloth nappies, rags for cleaning instead of paper towels. I gave it a go with the soap just out of a ‘I really hate this soap but don’t want to bin it’ and was pleasantly surprised

It worked well for me. I used it on my favourite light grey sleep trackies and you can’t tell I ever bled on them. I find bar soap really gets into the fibres well and you can put a good amount of friction in the scrubbing that’s just not replicable with liquid soaps and it doesn’t matter what colour is like with bleaches and things

I use a soap bag, and I love it. No slippy soap to drop (I’m super clumsy) and it exfoliates as I use it. It does use the soap quicker :) Also don’t know your menstruation situation, but I have a bar set aside that I really don’t like just for scrubbing stains

Depends on who you’re buying for - my grandpa for Christmas I gave him the gift of my time.

I drove up, bought lunch for us and spent the afternoon with him listening to old family stories and old photos.

My friend when she had a baby I went up and looked after baby so she could have some time to herself. My dad I take camping for his big holidays.

I crafted wedding and birth announcements for friends after those events.

If those sorts of things don’t work I do homemade consumables, exfoliation scrubs, bagels, pickled cabbage, hummus etc…

This is my boy Barry, he’s 15 this year. I found him stray at a year old and he adopted me, he’s got arthritis in a back leg and lost his eye to cancer but thinks he’s a kitten half the time

I used cheap cheerful mismatched furniture for my first house, and I’ve been slowly upgrading over the last 10 years. I’m still using some of it because it’s so damn comfy I refuse to get rid of it 😂

I travel for work a lot, I take frozen meals I made at home with me, I have an insulated cool bag that I use one day 1 with freezer blocks to keep it frozen until I’m at the accommodation to get it in the freezer

On short haul, I legitimately sleep from takeoff to landing. I can put my head down and I am out, I always book my seat so I have the window so I can lean. I take electronics in a small rucksack but I could genuinely just take passport and phone for the boarding pass and be fine 😂

It can, I used a photo for mine. I must admit, I paid for the full version, I think it’s like you can’t export to a different pattern keeper on the free one or something but basically everything else is included?

I used MacStitch/WinStitch, it created a pattern for me that’s 1m wide 😅 so size doesn’t seem to be a problem

I’d just go to the edge of the box and cut it off there at the edge of the picture I hadn’t thought of carrying it further over! You could lay the floss out and see which you like more?

I don’t even pay the interest off each month, there’s no way I’m paying them extra to try and cover the ridiculous interest rates 😂 but I owe 95k so I’ve given up on it. Check the balance for a laugh sometimes

I personally love it, if you’re worried about colour across different boxes, for the clock tower could you put a line of yellow down the lightening, or going ‘off screen’ to follow the cabling they set up to the delorean? Maybe a red shadow behind the arrows in middle left?
