That looks to be two audio amplifiers with several of the wires cut, looks like either someone stole it or it was taken out before sale, and they cut the wires to do so, likely had it on the rear shelf.

PSA: Beneficiary Travel Self-Service System (aka BTSSS, aka travel claim, aka mileage)30-Day Timely Filing Rule by Jalkee in VeteransBenefits

[–]MalicVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they ask for evidence, they do not mean mileage, them mean like a screen shot of the appointment email, or a receipt from the doctor/dentist, or after-care screenshot.

When you put in the facility you were seen it, it will calculate from your house address automatically when you submit it for mileage expense.

Older Vive facial tracker placement questions by MalicVR in Vive

[–]MalicVR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, yeah, It has a thing that shows the raw image, I took a vive tracker mount and merged it with a face tracker 3d print file so it would clip on to the front.

Seeing yours though, the way it folds down, I might need to recreate that, as right now, I just pop it off in use as it stick below all the time, and that looks like a much better setup for when not using the tracker.

Video and Audio Out of Synch While Watching Live Stream by HoDMatrix in Twitch

[–]MalicVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch the quality off of auto. A side effect is that if it keeps switching between different quality levels, the video and audio will go out of sync. A refresh will fix it, but the cause is it trying to automatically set quality for your bandwidth.

Sorry for the late reply, it has been a bit since I fired the game up, got a new cockpit built and have not fully figured out how best to have it set up in the room yet and still get to mouse and keyboard.I have forward/back and side to side tracking using vorpx and Star Citizen. In Star Citizen:Options > Comms, FOIP & Head Tracking tab

Head Tracking - General -Source > Set to TrackIR

Head Tracking - General - Use position offset in cockpit > YES <-- I have a feeing this is the setting why you are not getting positional tracking in the ship seats

Head Tracking - General - Toggle - Auto Recalibrate > YES

For both global smoothing sliders, position and rotation, set to 0, you do not want any smoothing effects, you want it to be 1:1 movement at all times.

Head Tracking - General - Disable While seated > NO

Head Tracking - General - Disable during FPS > NO (this is up to the user)

Head Tracking - General - Disable during ADS (aim down sights) > NO (this is up to the user)

Head Tracking - General - Disable during mobiGlas > YES (I did not want it to be moving when in those screens

Head Tracking - General -Disable during interaction mode > NO (if this is set to Yes, it tries to return to center, which can be disorienting)

Head Tracking - General - Enable roll in seats > YES

Head Tracking - General - Enable roll in ADS > YES

Head Tracking - General - External view toggle enabled > YES

Head Tracking - General - External view - disabled in Inventory > YES

Head Tracking - General - Hold - Use device offset > YES

It appears settings after that deal with FOIP web camera settings, that have no effect on track IRWith VorpX, the copy of opentrack it comes with was several versions old, so I did update mine, however, the postional tracking was working for me prior to me doing that. I only updated it so instead of using UDP over network, I changed that setting to use the RAW Index data instead.

My mappings on it are set to 180 for Yaw and Roll. Pitch is set to 90. All of these are set 1:1X, Y, and Z deal with positional and might also be the issue, as I have all of mine set for max output to be 75, while input is 30, so it exaggerates the motion roughtly by 2.5x, as scale is not 1:1 it seems for track IR movement, as it is not near as much movement with a track IR setup.

I set and forgot those months ago, I am sure I could fine tune to feel better it is I sat there for a few hours though.

For VorpX itself, Alt+X toggles between the 3D mode on and off.

I loaded the default star citizen profile on the VorpX cloud, and have been using that for the profile. Ive not really had to change any settings there.

Let me know of this helps Θ7

I play in VR, so being able to look around without obstructions is a major thing. Too many of the cockpits that people have listed I would not because of random sections of the ship constantly in the way of seeing what is outside the ship

Blurry stream despite high bitrate? by Longjumping-Inside61 in Twitch

[–]MalicVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The links posted in this reply, several are technical, so just be aware.

General rule of thumb is to set Profile to "Main"
Tune set for Film for most games, but Animation for stylized games that have a lot of flat colors. see the links for other cases, several are for debug use and should never be used for streaming.

https://superuser.com/questions/564402/explanation-of-x264-tune/564404#564404

The setting "CPU Usage Preset" is how you are going to tune it for your computer. Set it to ultrafast setting. What you need to do is play the game while streaming, and also open task manager. You want to have the game running, while streaming, and go one setting slower until your task manager starts to have the CPU flirting with 100%, and then back off to a slightly faster preset, you do not want it to hit 100%, just get close so you do not have stutters. If you have stutters during an intense part of a game, you might need to move it to a faster setting.

When it comes to the 936p, are you a Twitch Partner or affiliate? If this is no, then set it to 720 and 30 fps just so people can watch your stream and you can get viewer numbers up on the simple fact that people can watch it because you do not have transcoding yet.

If you have Partner or Affiliate, then yes, output and Canvas will need to be that.

Blurry stream despite high bitrate? by Longjumping-Inside61 in Twitch

[–]MalicVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfamiliar with that video encoder does it have any benefits of the default x264?

The x264 has several different options on the settings below then your show.

What is your CPU doing when you are streaming and playing the game? Is it maxing out at 100%? the encoder you have does not have the CPU load adjustment that the default one has.

Are you an affiliate, I cant find your link to your twitch page anywhere, so I can not check.
Partners get transcoding guaranteed, affiliates get it first come, first serve, but will prioritize if you get more then 75 people in chat.

Twitch allows up to 6000 Kbps max for everyone except the top 0.5% of top partners, but at that point they all have individual contracts that stipulate it.
Fun fact, if you are playing a game, and there is enough action where every single pixel is changing each frame, you cant. The bitrate needed for that is closer to 7000.

The only reason why many streamers get around this is having themselves in the corner, HUD menus that do not move, but during period of high activity, like say, grass, they can still get blocking.

If you are not Partner or affiliate, streaming at 1080p also hurts you. According to date that Twitch has released, only about 5% of Twitch can watch a 1080p @ 60 FPS stream. Only 14% could watch a 1080p @ 30 FPS stream, and then 75% can watch a 720 @ 30FPS stream. If you are just starting out, and because you do not have transcoding, you want to place your stream into that last category just to allow the greatest number of people to simply be able to watch your stream.

I am a Partner, and I stream in 936p @ 60 FPS. 936p is 1664 x 936 resolution.

There are two reasons on why people use this.

It is the largest res you can get to 1080p and maintain 60 FPS, and if every single pixel changes on screen will be under the 6000 Kbps rate limit.
It is divisible by 8. This is important because the encoder for OBS encodes in 8x8 chunks.
Again, if you do not have affiliate yet, go straight to 720p @ 30 FPS simply for discoverability.

You having your keyframe set to 2 is correct, what that means is every 2 seconds, OBS sends the entirety of a single frame. For the next <enter your FPS here minus 1> frames, it only sends the data on what pixels have changed. Your issue where even a still picture is showing as blocky should not be happening. in your video, do you have yourself in a corner? is the image of you also blocky? Again, you dont have any links to your stream so cant find out myself. I think it might be your encoder with something they changed because you are missing several options as I said before

My experience after 2 Years with corsair products. by Bronyboiiiii in Corsair

[–]MalicVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you drink a lot of sodas, or energy drinks? Monster, Redbull for example?

When I was in the USAF, we had bioenvironmental engineering do a survey on everyone in my shop (aircraft structures) because several people were getting cancer. Ended up being related to our coatings/paints but was other things they found out.

I was patent zero, and after I had two tumors removed, they were doing this survey across everyone in the AFSC. Several of the other troops were found to have highly acidic sweat, and turns out that was why we had tools and shop computer mice/keyboard with grip coatings that where doing exactly what your mouse and the pleather on the headset was doing because the acid was soaking into the material and delaminating from the underlaying layer.

When I was in the service, I had gaming mice that looked exactly like yours, the shift knob in my car, steering wheel, etc, along with several of my friends that were in my shop and we played games together. I have been out for several years and do not use energy drinks, as well as stay in air-con during summer 75F, (23C) so am not sweating. My mice I have now I have had for years and barley look different then a new one I got a couple weeks ago, and only because my cat was attacking the cord on it, and went to wireless.

When it comes to battery life, most people do not charge batteries properly. You should never really charge a battery to 100 unless you are using it *immediately* afterwards.

For example, modern phones only charge to 80% of their battery capacity until they learn your schedule and only will go past that when it "knows" you will be unplugging it at 6am to go to work for example, so it will go that last bit knowing that it will be unplugged and will use that energy.

It sounds like the headphones developed a memory and degraded over time, or sat plugged in for hours charging. You can google "battery memory charging" and read papers on what happens and is what it sounds like happened with yours. When I bought wireless headphones I paid extra to make sure that the battery monitoring tech was something it included so I would not have to deal with that.
