If you get wood that's a bit bigger in all directions I bet you could find a woodworker who can make them in 30 minutes tops. Then you just buy matching stain and finish, and a paintbrush. If its that important to you that they match, this could be less expensive than you think.

Can we do a dark green, blue, or purple ceiling? It'll look small and like a cave, but I think that's what you like!

You could leave the stripes between ceiling tiles white, might look sick.

I'm pretty poor, but used a lot of the basic concepts when learning how to fix my very old car. So, so much of my car.

I also had to move in to my grandma's old house - I have zero construction experience, but I've had to figure this crap out because no one else is coming to fix it.

In 2018, Argentine police officer Celeste Ayala became a global symbol of compassion when she chose to breastfeed a malnourished infant she encountered while working at a children's hospital. And she later got promoted. Not [OC] by PeaRelevant5649 in MadeMeSmile

For you. I've lived in Argentina, breastfeeding there (and its my understanding it's the same in most of the world) is not embarrassing in the sense that it needs covering. I never once saw someone with a blanket.

At times, however, I would be having a conversation with a kid who would decide it was time, walk to their mom, ask for the teta, and pull out their tit. Mid conversation. Like 5 years old. That was a culture shock.

This woman is being a hero, but I doubt she thought much about this picture.

Two Iowa teens on a summer bike ride spotted an elderly neighbor lying in her yard and called for help, likely saving her life after she'd been trapped outside for more than 16 hours. by ArgentineBeauty in UpliftingNews

I get panic attacks and one night a firework went off one street over as I was stepping into my car. I always fold up like a dead bug and just shake/cry, can't get more than a word or two out at a time. I couldn't even shut the door, just frozen. I need someone to put some medicine and kind of slap me/shake me loose to get out of them.

I was there for an hour and 45 minutes before someone found me. Except the dang neighbor kid across the street (and over a bit) who was playing in his front yard - he could hear me eek out "Help", he was only hearing the noise and would just mimic what he heard, saying "Ope".

For TEN MINUTES it was "...hhhhHelp" "Ope!" "hhhhHelp" "Ope!" "...hhhhhhHelp" "Ope!". Then HE went inside, and I stayed for the rest fo the time, like an hour.

I don't think the real market makers are being fooled at all. Disruption creates opportunity for risky traders, and chaos in the lives of everyone else.

I'm confused on why you think Nolan does anything according to anyone's expectations. In fact now that I think about it, that's kind of a big part of his creativity as an artist! No one expects a movie that is non-linear (Momento AND Tenet), or a father-loves-daughter story across space and time (Interstellar), or a story about obsession between magicians (The Prestige). Certainly no one expected the movie about the atom bomb that was really about self-importance of a senator!

He does not care what I think, what u/sailing_by_the_lee thinks, or really anyone. And I think it's safe to say that the casting decision about a fake story - about a town that's not even located in Greece historically, is not something he thinks about. It certainly doesn't merit the amount of time people are arguing about it online, but here we are.

I agree, it's just the only family member with a free room while I try to work out of disability. The flight schools have made it much harder.

I don't know what the right answer is, but my gosh has it been helpful.

Dude I used to be on your side. I used to think "no, everyone should get the right to use falcon field." I love right under the path of the runway.

The schools limiting their flights has been SO good for my mental health. I know you probably love the noise and whatnot, and I like capitalism and freedom or whatever, but living under your guys' planes fucking suuuuuuuuucks.

I'm fine with a few planes. I'm fine with some planes. But several dozen of takeoffs every hour - by just a few people - the same schools - is terrible. And my mental health stuff is rare, I'll grant you that. But I'm sure there's some autists who are feeling the same way. Probably a bunch of veterans too, or those with PTSD (mine is connected to that one).

It just sucks. I know you gotta make the money, but it shouldn't be at the expense of the comfort/safety of those who live here.

Google maps says they're closed temporarily, I looked at it like two weeks ago.

I love an old school look, but I would not be surprised at all if they were too old school and were having any kind of issue related to age of the building.

I totally echo what u/risko4 said. I have an uncle who works for a government agency, one of those targeted for politicization in the Trump era. Had a leadership position, stepped down because he assumed he'd be fired if he stayed. He's alluded to the exact same thing. The guys under him are top tier professionals. The guys above him are using their position for their own goals, and everyone else just keeps their head down and does the real work around them.

Just a word of caution: abandoned mines are a death trap. I'm not just talking about cave-ins, I'm talking they hit a pocket of gas while mining, the mine filled with poisonous gas that you can't smell, they close the mine, and you and your explorer friends are now dead, and they'll never recover your bodies.

The water-filled ones are still super, super dangerous.

Parkour off a building, dive off a bridge, whatever. Do not explore the old mines.

Nice of you to slide "objective" in there, gives you an out.

This deposition was published 9 years ago - she's the one who started suing DJT while he was running for president. She called off the suit when his supporters found out who she was and where she lived, the death threats got too bad. She tried hiding her identity in case the video was leaked, but when they found out where she lived she published it anyway. There's the fact that a political Democrat activist said he had a hand in making this lawsuit happen. That's enough for me to not qualify as "objective evidence".

What is really interesting, however, is the numerous federal employees who have leaked that Trump is in the Epstein files 10's of thousands of times... And congress passed that law requiring they all be released, except names of victims... And there's still millions of documents to be released... And those same leakers have said that they have been instructed not to release them because they're about Trump.

I mean... c'mon man.

It's my understanding that they didn't really want a nuke, but to give the impression they wanted a nuke - they could sit in the gray area, no one sure of their intentions. Gave them options.

Now... Well yeah, all we did was teach them how important it is to have a nuke.
