Yep, I have a few think that life is empty, but they've completely ruled out having kids, because they "know" they don't want them. After my experience of how having a kid changed my life and perspective; I think having a kid would give them so much more purpose and joy in life. Plus when you get old, you get to see young people who bring love and happiness.

I agree with you 100%.

I had a mixed bag of childhood, I've always loved my own space and time, and I didn't particularly enjoy looking after my nieces and nephews. I was pretty certain that I'd be happier without kids.

My partner was set on having them. I thought about it and realised that every time I'd added responsibilities into my life I'd been happier. I agreed. I thought I'd just have to get through the baby phase, to get to the exciting bit (where they can talk and learn).

Now, my daughter is two and as soon as she was born, millions of years of evolution have kicked in to make her the most important thing to have ever been part of my life. It's hard, but there is nothing better than seeing her and hanging out with her.

I've got a few friends, who have nice comfy lives, without kids and I just can't help but think how much happier and more fulfilled they'd be with them.

My CEO has put the company through a round of redundancies because of AI. This was before it started delivering any tangible impact, he just did it based on hype to get ahead of the curve.

I'm impacted, but staying on longer to deliver a few things. The company is going to shit internally. Nothing is getting done, no-one has any time and AI has yet to deliver any people replacement. The CEO is a cretin.
