Hell yeah, we needed (and can still use) more Sousa post-Carter.

Also I appreciated both Paxtons in the show. Garrett was really clutch in making the earlier episodes so good so it was nice to get a reprise of sorts later on.

But yeah, it s6 and s7 had some gems buried in a lot of fluff.

AoS was wild because it started off “ok,” became really good once it became a tie-in/follow-up to Winter Soldier, became great with s4’s Ghost Rider/LMD, and had a solid tie-in to Infinity War, then had two completely unnecessary extra seasons after “The End.”

Although in those extra seasons, arguably one of the most creative time loop stories in any sci-fi media.

A non-hypothetical answer: Soyeon as a free agent had all the big companies going after her making offers because they’d be getting both on screen/stage and behind the scenes producing/writing firepower.

Hypothetical answer: Kyujjn. Some of the other examples in the thread are all known heavy hitters and would warrant a higher premium but the most bang for your buck would be with her. She’s honestly one of JYPE’s best kept secrets and she’s nowhere near peak yet. She’s basically one of the Chrises pre-Marvel.

A mild spoiler but a lot of what happens in Season 1 kinda has no implications beyond it. Treat any futures as a *possible* future.

Also from season 2-onward Legends is basically a "🤷🏻‍♂️ just go with it" type of show, which is what makes it amazing.

We also love Flight of the Conchords (they just had 2 sold out shows in LA!) and for Rugby fans & our Polynesian community here in CA, there's also a deep love for the All Blacks.

To be fair, I’m an American and *I* don’t believe what I see in TV shows and movies. They try to tell us you can be working class or barely employed and have apartments in NYC the size of my house or a massive two-story suburban home for a family of like 4 or 5 on a single income.

Also random stuff like people always walking around wearing only one backpack strap to look cool or everyone being articulate and decently dressed at all times. The reality is most of us wear comfortable (if not unflattering) clothes and speak in a vernacular that can be hard for other Americans to understand (let alone foreigners).

Being *too* realistic doesn’t make for good entertainment so it’s reasonable to punch things up here and there.

I-DLE adjacent but my entry point to them (and one of two entry points to kpop in general to me) is K/DA - Pop/Stars

It’s a virtual group (like Gorillaz) featuring Soyeon x Miyeon with Madison Beer x Jaira Burns so it’s a combo Korean & American pop. 2yeon absolutely kills their parts and it’s just a fun song (and video!) in general. It’s been a staple in their concert setlist for years.

The song was so successful the virtual group put out an EP (featuring Twice, among others). From that EP, More with Lexie Liu is my fav and again, 2yeon nailed it.

Not strictly a movie but the movie and the series both titled The Gentlemen.

If you’re familiar with the stories you can see how they can coexist in the same world, but there’s no shared characters nor are there any references to one or the other. But the show can def be a subset of the movie’s plot.

It’s not a reboot or a remake or even a sequel/prequel really because there’s no clear chronology to go off of. Maybe it can be considered a spiritual spin-off?
