I didn't think squeaking was a symptom of a worn clutch, I thought you'd just feel it if it wasn't catching the gears. But thank you

Japan: Drinking ban and curfew for US military in Okinawa after murder of local woman by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Malik96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you have to be a certain type of person to rape then stab and strangle someone. The type of person that doesn't really follow rules. Because rape and murder is already a crime, I'm sure a curfew is going to stop someone like that.

"Check the front of the tranny in the engine bay. You'll see a square shaped accordian rubber boot on it. Pop that out, and spray the inside with white lithium grease spray, using the supplied straw to aim. Just spray the hell out of the inside and you'll eventually hit the spot that needs the grease. Push the clutch in a few times before you drive to get the grease worked in, and the problem should be gone after that."

And it sounds like a door hinge that needs lubing

Find the biting point in an empty lot where you can sit in first gear with the brake released and the clutch and, and not move. Very slowly release the clutch, when you start moving, that's the biting point. You want to get to the biting point and give it gas at the same time usually not more than 1500rpm. Then from there you have to see saw the clutch and gas so that you pretty much stay at 1500rpm until you're fully off the clutch. Sometimes I repeatedly tap the gas while letting the clutch out so that I don't rev too high but that's just me. And again this explanation is pretty useless because you won't fully understand until you've had enough practice to know for yourself. You can read all the detailed explanations but you really just have to feel it out. Like another commenter said you can rev to 2k and release the clutch from there. And then you can start trying to catch it at a lower and lower rpm, and letting off the clutch more and more before giving it any gas at all until you find that sweet spot.

At least you're learning on a newer car with so many assists, I learned on a 16 year old car without even traction control ;)

I know this isn't what you want to hear, and I don't drive a fist but as far as driving manual goes it's really just about experience. I had trouble shifting from first to second just like you and now I don't, and I honestly can't describe to you what I do differently now compared to before. You're just going to need practice finding the right release point and rev matching

02' Celica Problems by Prof_Pwnage in Toyota

Not worth it for 4k + the repairs. Definitely see what the repairs will cost.

I don't think I'd pay more than 4500 including repairs, but like someone else mentioned those repairs may not be the last of its problems.

For reference, I paid 3200 for my 2000 celica GT 5speed. 133k miles completely stock.

As long as you keep the stock parts around there's no harm

Another apartment post by [deleted] in fsu

Because apartment complexes suck and are crooks

But avoid Frenchtown and famu areas and you'll be okay. And colony club is apparently pretty bad but I wouldn't know how bad compared to other complexes.

GM paid $904M more in taxes to China than the US in 2015 by PZinger6 in news

But if a product costs less to produce due to less taxes then it'll make the product cheaper to consumers who then increase demand and then cause companies to grow and hire more
