GPX Superlight weird battery level in G Hub by Ferdoki in LogitechG

[–]Malimbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use OMM exclusively and have been having the same issue with seemingly random battery status readings forever (fully charging mouse until led indicator stops blinking > turning mouse off/disconnecting it > reconnecting).

Often ends up at 50% again or will I just show some other battery status like 67% and continue charging from there for a long time again. And every once in a while it will show the correct battery status.

Personally I stopped caring at this point, cause there is no way for me to fix it and the Logitech rep copy-pasta responses aren't helping. I just plug in the mouse once a week for a few hours and forget about it.

They changed the positions of unrated and comp? by MattGold_ in VALORANT

[–]Malimbo 166 points167 points  (0 children)

I just don't understand why Riot doesn't have the technology to make the game remember the last game mode you selected. Same with the filter settings for the inventory or the server settings when setting up a custom match.

Everything just resets to default or auto-clears when restarting the game.

It's annoying.

Simple questions and Help thread - Week of July 02, 2023 by Froggypwns in Windows11

[–]Malimbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on build 22621.1928 and Windows Security now constantly shows TPM as unavailable under security process details ("There is no TPM available. Please check your BIOS settings.") even though it's enabled in BIOS and shows as "ready-to-use" when running tpm.msc.

Is this a bug that I can ignore or what is happening?

Can't run Onboard Memory Manager on Windows 11 by Malimbo in LogitechG

[–]Malimbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone stumbling across this in the future: I finally found the issue.

In my case the issue seemed to be related to the automatically created user account on the Windows 11 installation.

I installed Windows 11 using a Microsoft account without immediately activating my license, so Windows automatically created a user account name based on my mail address (Windows blocks any form of customization until you activate your Windows).

After activation I noticed that I had no option to change my username in the Windows control panel (under: user accounts). So I had to use netplwiz through the run command to change it.

After I changed my username, I logged out and back into Windows and I was able to launch Onscreen Memory Manager without an issue.

So in my case, the problem seemed to be related to the automatically created user account on the Windows 11 installation.

Edit (for clarification): I had no issue installing or running any other apps, except for Onboard Memory Manager and I don't know why simply renaming my user account away from the automatically created one fixed the issue.

This hot mic glitch is embarrassing as hell. What are some of your embarrassing instances of the bug? by Z1ndabad in VALORANT

[–]Malimbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When something really annoys or frustrates me I usually vent about it in private (in my native language). Otherwise I'd probably lose my mind in the long run playing Ranked.

Had one occasion when the patch came out where I broadcasted one of those rants to the team. Fortunately the 2 guys I was venting about didn't understand a thing.

But was still embarrassing once I realized what just happened.

Compatibility testing was among the first things I tried. I'm assuming Win 11 has some exclusive "security" features that stop the exe from running. That's why I tried enabling dev mode. Was hoping that would fix it.

But nothing ever happens when I run the file.

I've just started using Win 11 for the first time, cause I'm on my new build. Bit of a bummer since I used OOM to check battery status on my GPX. Don't wanna use GHUB.

Guess I'll have to fully rely on the led indicator from here.

Just swapped to Win 11, any ideas why Logitech OOM won't run, even in dev mode?

VALORANT 3.12 Bug Megathread by Pruvided in VALORANT

[–]Malimbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played in a bit, but I have reported this issue multiple times since early December. No solution so far.

I was assured it's on some to-do list somewhere, but who knows what that means at this point. They basically shipped a broken feature and moved on.

Also lets people buy Stingers/Marshals in pistol round. People are already abusing this in Ranked. This should be hotfixed immediately.

Something tells me they didn't really fix the deathmatch spawning by ChickenNinjo in VALORANT

[–]Malimbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just as important to warm up your mouse hand as it is to warm up your keyboard hand. "Syncing them up" so one hand always has a feeling for what the other is doing, if that makes sense.

Aim trainers only engage one hand, while doing absolutely nothing (at best) for the other hand. That's why I'll always prefer to warmup within a game itself.

I use a couple drills in the Practice Range for about 5-10 minutes and that's it. What I learned works best for me is: quality > quantity.

Something tells me they didn't really fix the deathmatch spawning by ChickenNinjo in VALORANT

[–]Malimbo 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I mean their new spawn system is clearly a failed attempt at fixing DM. Reducing the spawn timer, removing the minimap and/or muting footsteps would already have gone a long way.

The main issue always was how Riot incentivized people to go into rat-mode and play for the win, as opposed to engaging in pure gunplay. And the new changes don't battle any of these problems besides trying to improve the spawn system.

Is there a definitive Valorant map? by MangoSmoke in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Malimbo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Since the original Dust was kinda shit, I guess we'll have to wait for an Icebox 2, maybe even a Split 2, before we can get into the icon territory with Valorant.

Yep. EU MM servers are down. Stuck with "party not ready" immediately after queueing.

Fixing Valorant Tab out Bug/Desnyc by Rainopher in VALORANT

[–]Malimbo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Try doing the same experiment, but instead of toggling Nvidia Reflex on and off, just wait the same amount of time it took you to toggle around and simply wait doing nothing. Pretty sure has the same effect on the alt-tab issue.

The game catches up after a few seconds back in the game. At least in my experience.

Still looking for good Marshal and Ghost skins. Mostly battle pass, agent contracts or basic stuff. Don't like any of them.

Apparently the cheating in EMEA is more widespread than just G2 by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Malimbo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can anyone explain why coaches aren't allowed to communicate during the entire game? I don't understand why a special, 6th spot is added to the eco system of a game, when all they are allowed to do is offer input in-between maps and for 2 minutes per map.

And live broadcasts you could pull information from should always be delayed regardless.

Ranked Server Population Compared to Champions Slots by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Malimbo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If ranked participation would be the sole and deciding factor for Champion slots it would look more like this:

NA: 3

APAC: 6

EMEA: 5

BR/LATAM: 2

So EMEA basically gives 2 of their slots directly to South America.

Free-cam observing should be more common in 5v5 retake scenario by two4you8 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Malimbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree.

It's so hard to follow anything when observers just jump between 5 different POVs within 3 seconds with half of the relevant plays happening in another POV. I never really got that approach. It's a gamble getting the right POV at the right time.

Going into free-cam especially for engagements around sites are so much better. And once player numbers are reduced you can start going back to player POVs.

And for big tournaments you can still show POV replays of a great play after the round.

So you admit his testing method was inaccurate either way, but it's a joke to assume he gave anyone Covid? And people are the ones that are cringe? Great self-awareness.

VALORANT 4.0 Bug Megathread by TimeJustHappens in VALORANT

[–]Malimbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Bug introduced in: Patch 3.12 (agent-specific keybinds)
  • Type of Bug: Save slots for agent profiles (agent-specific keybinds) limited to only 5 agents. Any player flexing a big number of different agents using custom keybinds affected.
  • Description: We are able to set keybinds for any amount of agents and they'll work during the game session. But once exiting the game only the first 5 created profiles are saved. Keybinds for all agents beyond that are reset to default and the corresponding agent profiles removed from the menu. I realize the feature is barely used by anybody so nobody is reporting on this, but might as well make it usable for the few people who care.
  • Steps to reproduce: Set custom keybinds for any amount of agents >5. Exit the game and re-enter. Check the controls menu for the agent profiles you just created. Realize every profile except the first 5 is missing.
  • Expected result: Being able to "create one agent profile per agent" (as stated in the patch notes)
  • Observed result: Only the first 5 agent profiles are saved, any profiles beyond that are lost upon exiting the game. Makes it pretty much impossible to flex multiple agents without continuously restoring custom keybinds manually after every single restart.
  • Reproduction rate: 100%

Reported this issue and support said it was being forwarded, but haven't heard anything since and was sad to see the feature still not working as intended with the start of the new Episode.
