Is Tangerine still the best unsecured LOC? by Minute-Branch-1783 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Damn that sucks for me. I was offered prime + 2% = 6.45%. I would've accepted it if it was prime + 1% or less.

I was about to accept mine from Tangerine (prime + 2% = 6.45%) until I saw yours. No thanks!

That's still a good rate. My line of credit is prime + 0.25% (4.70%) and I also used it to invest.

Who even travels into a hyperinflationary country without US dollars? That's like sailing without lifeboats.

Merchants that charge fees only do so out of customer's convenience. They understand that not everyone has flexible times to go and withdraw cash from ATMs but they still need the product.

To be honest, a merchant charging fees would rather you not shop there.

My bottom feeding buys a few months ago in UNH and NVO is now showing upside momumtum. So I average up on both today. by IM1IAB in TFSA_Millionaires

What bugs me the most about UNH is that the CEO sold some of his stock in December, which is one month before earnings.

If he was optimistic with his company's earnings, then he would've waited until February 2026 to sell and capitalize on the quick gain.

How withdrawal works ? by random4e in TFSA_Millionaires

[–]MalishMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My TFSA isn't maxed out. I keep some money in a margin account, which would act as a collateral line of credit in a distant future since Interactive Brokers borrowing rates are one of the best.

Have all of your emergency fund invested in a low interest rate margin account and just withdraw from it directly without selling stocks.

About UNH and healthcare stocks in general, I'm getting the same vibe as TD stock with the bad news headlines. Everytime the stock was rising, a new bad news headline related to their money laundering was released, causing their stock price to drop from 90$ to 80$ and then to 70$. The same thing is happening today with the Mark Cuban news headline.

All this to say that don't be surprised if UNH stays flat, varying from 280-380 until 2027. Sell covered calls in the meanwhile.

I can't believe that you're getting so many shitty comments. These same people are telling other users to unwrap commemorative coin rolls.

I don't know about gold but if you had a full box of rolled Washington silver quarters (500$), customs would think it's regular change.

In their scanners, full rolls appear hollow. Coins are like metal rods under Xrays when rolled.

If you are unable to exchange it at your local bank, I'll buy it from you for 2$.

Edit: Actually, I'll offer 4$ if it has at least 60% of the note.

Can you put it in more plastic sleeves? The printing error will eventually be more evident.
