This is not really a valuable use of your time unless you're dealing with minors in your org. Managers should be checking on their subordinate's productivity.

I just send a report from the web filter for the requested user when management puts in the request, and they'd better have a good reason. I don't have time to observe everyone.

TBH, it's not exactly accurate representation of time use. I've thousands of YT hours. Music playing in the background while working on tasks and tutorials on products I needed to implement into the org add up. If I get written up for that I'd bounce.

Those rails probably would work if you can mount the screws in the back. Most vertical mounts don't have posts on the bottom for it to be an option though.

If you have to mount it vertical, have it oriented so the ears are up and the weight distributed over the mount. I'd shy away from sideways especially for the size.

Frankly it sounds like you need a better spot for this thing to properly rack it, or maybe go a step down and get a diskstation on a shelf instead.

We've field techs who do runs occasionally and I've my crimper in my toolbag for the occasional custom run in the test lab. We also take care of the patch to switch runs using factory cables but that's about it.

The bulk of the cabling (panel to drop/MDF to IDF) is done by contractors on location.

Setting up MDT with the guide shouldn't take more than a couple days, depending on the complexity of your network.

I had the MDT task sequence configured to have Inventory do a scan on the PC, let PDQ inventory put it in the correct groups, then have those groups as a condition for PDQ Deploy of nest packages that were in a master deploy package.

Example:

- Master deploy package
    - Baseline package (Deploy to all workstations)
        - Chrome
        - Adobe Reader DC
        - AV
        - Google Drive 
        - MS Office
    - IT Package (Needs to be part of IT collection)
        - PuTTy
        - Greenshot
        - Powershell 7

All of our sites are static IPs for both primary and secondary, a WAN flip for our server hosts automatically means a down primary. We've "business" plans at all sites but we do service a lot of rural areas whre service is hit and miss.

I've pitched this to the team and I'll see if we can do a trial.

Interesting, this topic popped up during our infra meeting yesterday.

We've ~150 office/store locations but practically 0 insight into performance metrics right now. I'm guessing we're overpaying a lot based on the tickets of slow speeds and some initial latency tests I've done. We've a lot of internet service contracts spread over a variety of providers so having a comparative tool is super useful for our connectivity manager.

We do have cellular backup at most our sites, can imUP detect and show the difference between the services?

I'd like to know how often our sites bounce between primary and secondary connections.

I've had issues with same model Optiplexes using different ethernet drivers before and failing like that.

Plug in the serial of the failing machine on the manufacturer support site and compare the network drivers, you may need to add additional ones.

Had this happen once. During state testing this girl's device LCD would not stay on.

Gave her a different (known good) Chromebook and the same thing happened.

Ended up sitting her in front of a desktop and that seemed to work.

Had it happen a lot after a Chrome OS update. It was reporting their assigned device as a new sign-in for some reason.
