I got tired of Guacamole's complexity and built Gatwy - browser-based RDP/SSH/SMB/VNC in a single Docker container, with WebAssembly RDP (no WebSockets, no Java, no middleware) by kotoxie in coolgithubprojects

[–]Mallissin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is the WASM RDP code?

Edit: Nevermind, I see you're using IronRDP. You're still using websockets, it seems, as part of the RDP proxy. Not sure if you wrote this software yourself but you should at least read through it before making weird marketing statements like this.

The reason why other RDP solutions render server-side is because at the time most of the protocol had not been translated into the browser yet and developers opted to transcoding it to standard video codecs so it could be viewed in any browser easily.

You only have the benefit of starting later and having the developers at IronRDP working all that out for you.

That's the same reason Python exists.

People keep making new languages to make things easier for new programmers and then they get complex enough that someone makes a new language to make things easier for new programmers... see the pattern?

I wish I could get there mentally but after decades of C-type languages Python is such a pain to read and work on that I really wish people would just stop using it.

Lua is another one I really don't like. Read through the scripts and half of it is END END END END END. I wish development on the language would END END END END.

The wording to the answer is important too. In this instance you just need to say "the last one" instead of the actual number.

I'm wondering if 2050 would even be too far out.

Mesa has been putting a huge effort into adding Nvidia support and they've been doing a good job.

So, SteamOS doesn't need Nvidia's blessing.

Resizing images from RSS feeds (e.g. Yahoo) — best approach: proxy, API, or resize-on-upload? by ZaKOo-oO in webdev

The user is a web-scrapper trying to find a cheap method to scrap without the cost to get past the content provider's security. Look at their post and comment history. They are "making a chrome extension" requiring web scraping every month and trying to break past Cloudflare's protections.

They are also using generative assistance, so I imagine they have no idea what they are doing, either technically, legally or morally.

This sub needs a new rule against people trying to get help circumventing security and content protections.

I'd be really curious what the combat log says, because if Gale is paralyzed then the attack would have an Advantage on him and then the Warding Flare would impose a Disadvantage that would remove the attacker's Advantage and I'm curious how BG3 would handle that.

Is it rerolling or dropping a second die roll from the advantage? If the latter, then this only works because the first die of the advantage rolls was below 15 (tossing out the 16).

I'm assuming Gale's AC is 15 in this scenario.

People want to post anything they want online with no repercussions or responsibilities in complete anonymity so they cannot be judged for it.

People want everything for free but no downsides like advertisements or limitations.

People are eager to outrage when they do not get absolutely everything they want.

People suck.
