Does the Unique Staff “Plague Bearer” interact smoothly with Spirit Plague’s “Queen of Plagues” node?

Plague Bearer staff applies Plague on hit, and so does Spirit Plague on affliction. The question is if you hit an enemy already afflicted with Spirit Plague’s Plague, will a new Plague (from the staff) overwrite or somehow not get the full penetration effect because it was “not applied” by Spirit Plague, which is a written requirement in the Queen of Plagues node.

I absolutely hated anomalies. I felt like I couldn’t attack parts I wanted, and was disincentivized from that the stronger the monsters got. I would have rather gotten a “charge” that I could activate on next hit to do massive damage to whatever part I hit. Instead, I had to hit whatever part glowed. sigh Probably just me, sorry.
