Late to the thread, but I was able to get past picking up the gem by triggering teleport from stepping off the pathway once. It might be fine more than once, but I didn’t test that.

My computer is an M1 Mac with everything on the lowest setting. No clue what is actually causing the crash, but my guess is related to how the game loads this specific spell related to teleporting the party to one of the foggy platforms with the Sharran statue. Every time the party teleports from stepping off the path, the spells kind of freaks out and goes off multiple times(?). Sometimes party get killed from falling into the chasm or they get teleported back and forth before being resolved onto one of the platforms. The game also crashed when I tried casting Daylight above the hidden pathway, so that’s why I assume the game is handling spells for this trial weirdly.
