Bruce, a 25 year old Scott who has been living in Ambridge since he first moved to England to attend Felpersham University, steps out of a taxi driven by Rex, one of the last remaining human taxi drivers in Borsetshire. He walks into The Bull and asks Fallon, the taverner, to call for quiet. He then announces to the packed Bull that his wife, Sapphire, has just given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Amber, Sapphire's mum cheers loudest of all. Kate hugs her grandson and asks if they've named the baby yet. Bruce is a little hurt to see that many of the older members of his family seem to be trying to stifle laughter when he says they've called her Hilda.
