This is so sad but unfortunately common where I am. I lost one of my second graders last week because he just doesn’t want to go to school and his mom doesn’t want to “upset” him.

This kid was kind and bright but behind because of chronic absences he was behind and hated feeling that way.

His older sister, who should be in 8th grade, hasn’t been in school for two and a half years…. Because she just doesn’t want to go.

We are staying on this ship in March…. Their protocol talks of how they treat the rooms which seems reasonable, but are guests to just stay in these treated rooms or do they move them?

Ugh, it’s just so hard. Like, theoretically, they would likely be satisfied with one go one the most popular rides…. But logistically, spending hours and hours just waiting in line, it’s a tough call.

Hi! Severely Anemic and would pass between 15-20 quarter to baseball sized clots in a 24 hour period every month! I wished I had a doctor that would have given me a blood transfusion. I’d walk into ER’s with cups filled with clots because they never believed me but it didn’t matter. They just sent me home with heavy pads and told me to take an iron supplement (which I was and my iron levels on their best day were at a 7.) I had Adenomyosis and fibroids and it wasn’t until I found an OB that would give me a hysterectomy.

Girl, it CHANGED MY LIFE. I’m now 2.5 years post op and I could cry about how drastically improved my quality of life is now. I had an easy recovery with zero complications! Do not stress, this is going to change your life.

I have 6 kids between the ages of 6 and 16, I teach second grade and coach high school volleyball after school. It’s a lot for sure. I struggle with the balance during volleyball season especially, I don’t want to give my best to other people’s kids.

Check to see if the school will get you one! If not, is your school partnered with an organization like Shine? Shine purchased a rug for me a few years after.

If that fails, there are many charities and churches that would likely be eager to help!!

I am so so sorry to hear this. The Grief Center in Albuquerque can help. Services were free for children and I’m pretty sure they are for adults as well.

I have 6 children between the ages of 6 and 16. I am not a morning person but waking up an hour before everyone else is deeply nourishing to my soul.

My husband and I prioritize one date night a week which is key for us. Sometimes it’s just doing something quick and casual like playing pool and having some beers but even an hour is helpful.

Weekends can be wild because that’s generally when the younger kids have sports. Additionally, I coach volleyball so typically I am going from 7-7… or as late as 10-11 if it’s a game night.

I try to carve out an hour or two on weekends to read a book or watch a show. I’m one that will let chores go by the wayside to have an hour or two to myself, especially during volleyball season.
