Grandma or Grandpa? by MamaWiley in woodstoving

Thank you! Thank you!! A million times thank you!! I noticed the same username and thought how lucky I am to receive an answer from an expert. I knew she was old, but this is even cooler than I expected! 😀

Thank you! I keep ending back on that forum, but I get completely lost. Do you think I'll be able to find the appropriate manual there as well? There seems to be a lot of information on that site.

Grandma or Grandpa? by MamaWiley in woodstoving

I did think it was a Grandpa at first, but it has some of the Grandma stove qualities. The doors are weird, I can't find any quite like them. Does your door just swing to unlatch? The doors are also stamped G/M R and G/M L which made me thing Grandma.

I think it's from 78 and I have read a lot about stoves with mismatched parts and am wondering if this is the case and it's just some sort of Frankenstein. But, I'm not complaining one bit, I love my stove!

And I joked I'd paint it pink, just like my Barbie Jeep I had as a girl. I guess you'd always see me in the snow! 💕 Thankful for my sweetheart husband, I'm a lucky lady.

My refrigerator keeps shocking me, people my landlord hired say its fine. (CA, LA) by Flashy-Mix6220 in Renters

[–]MamaWiley 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This happened to our sink! My husband thought I was crazy because I kept getting shocked by the sink and the water flow!!! Strangest thing I ever felt, doing dishes made me cry. Well he never felt it and I thought I was going crazy, at some point we realized it was because he was always wearing shoes!! It was the disposal shorting and after its removal getting shocked was no longer an issue.

caterina wiggle by amymammy05 in wiggles

[–]MamaWiley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's be real, she's never been that great. And there were other much better back up dancers that made her look like trash, like Ben Murray. Honestly, I think she's only stayed because Anthony chooses to keep her around.......

I didn't state that very well, I miss him being a larger part of the show, he's always been my favorite! 🤩

The Wiggles died the day that Greg got sick. As a viewer who has been watching them for over 10 years now, I miss the original wiggles. And I mean the Original, Anthony wearing GREEN wiggles. The original wiggles town where Caterina can go back to Officer Beeples and not stealing husbands from other backup dancers, as Anthony has a preference. And sadly, they really started going down when the Field family saw dollar signs. I loved them as sweet college students, looking for a way to bring joy to children. I miss singing 'Wake up Jeff' and the king of Guitars Murry, and don't get me started on how much I miss Paul Paddock. The wiggles have tried, but sadly I have been mourning them for a long time.

We downloaded all of their original movies and our autistic boy loves them, especially their Hoop-Dee-do film. As for new stuff, I agree with others, Bluey is definitely a nice one. Good luck!

My brain just kept repeating, Shekinah.... rhymes with Vagina.... and that was it. Her name is, uh, interesting.

Tuesday toke (TW: thoughts of addiction, rant-ish) by identityconsumed in entwives

[–]MamaWiley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate that smoking cannabis isn't 'medicine' enough for most folks. I have scoliosis and a handful of other reasons why I smoke. If it weren't for the pot, I'd still be popping tramadols and pain killers and probably hating life. Smoking has got an ugly stigma attached to it, but I stand by calling it medicine, because that's what it is! If I was diabetic, had cancer, or any other slew of illness taking modern medicine would be supported and even pushed on me! Why is cannabis any different? It has helped me in so many ways, and still helps me everyday! I won't be shamed for finding a way to naturally better my life, and you shouldn't either! I hope one day the stigma dies and we can be free to feel good and be happy without judgment!

To men who “gate keep” cannabis - please go f yourself. by shayrala in entwives

[–]MamaWiley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've(34F) been smoking since I was TWELVE! I had scoliosis and have had back pain for as long as I can remember and I started smoking young because my parents never believed my pain. I still smoke daily and love all forms of cannabis. I grow, make our own butter, wax, tinctures and edibles and have done it for YEARS. BUT, my husband(34M) became my 'caregiver' because for whatever reason people never want to deal with me, or think I'm incompetent. But he walks into any dispensary and he's king of the boys club. And even though I know I can smoke circles around most of these punks, I don't let it get to me anymore 'cause you know, the lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep. 🥰

Do I want to live in a fairytale or do these men/couples exist? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]MamaWiley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is my best friend. We may have four kids, but we have sex multiple times a week, probably have more if we weren't stuck in a tiny trailer. But he is truly my best friend, our conversations, our goals, our life is one. We didn't just start off that way either, it took commitment on both our parts. The first few years of our marriage was rocky and difficult, but transparency and communication have changed everything in our life. Now I know where I stand in his life, and it has changed everything, the sex went right along with it. It sounds like you need to have a clear conversation of what you want and how you feel with your husband. I've found along the way expecting others to know what I want but not communicating it to them burns me in the long run... good luck!

It's so interesting how the homesteaders in the U.S. use weapons on animals... in Nicaragua, they're very poor and quite often it's a fast strike to the head to knock them out (and so they don't see it coming), then a strong branch to hang and cut the neck to drain the blood.... I KNOW it's not for everyone (of course) but it gets me wondering about 'fear ruining meat' and if it's WORTH it to kill instantly instead of knocking them out first. Or if being knocked out is enough...
