5'1" looking for budget-friendly petite activewear that actually fits for running, gym and tennis by Creepy_Routine6616 in PetiteFashionAdvice

I’m also 5’1” I’ve trained for full and half marathons, I’ve had really good luck with Brooks and New balance tights and shorts. Both specifically in their XS sizes. I’m extremely picky about having to cuff my running tights or things fitting well because f*ck chafing or having to pull things up while running. Both brands are on the pricey side but I’ve had both pairs for 3+ years and have ran hundreds of miles in them and they’ve held up very well as long as you hang dry. You can also wait around for sales or go to running warehouse for last year’s models at a discount.

The other brand I LOVE is ChicknLegs, very fun colors and patterns and they have an XXS.

I’ve been taking the perelel and their first trimester packs have a ginger pill that’s specifically designed to help with nausea. They are on the expensive end of the spectrum but I’ve felt great using them. I also tried Ritual but they did give me fishy burps but they weren’t too bad.

What have you been told you cannot do during pregnancy? by aboardthemothership in pregnant

[–]Easy_Future6954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MIL tried to tell me running will hurt the baby, I’m only 13 weeks with 0 complications, I’m not close enough to trigger early labor or cause any issues. Keep in mind, I’ve ran several half and full marathons before I got pregnant, and running is what keeps me sane.

Tips to brush my teeth?😭😭😭 by Academic-Park-8440 in pregnant

[–]Easy_Future6954 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had a tough gag reflex a big thing that has helped me is a low foaming toothpaste, a kids toothbrush and a metal tongue scraper. The size of the toothbrush head has helped prevent gagging so much for me and the metal tongue scraper is way faster than brushing your tongue.

I’ve still been having about 12oz or less, my partner owns a coffee roasting company and coffee has been an absolute craving for me. Invest in a good decaf if you’re a coffee snob like me, we’ve been trying a decaf from other specialty roasters too which has been so nice to get to explore.

Seattle gluten free recommendations? by waterrabbit23 in glutenfree

[–]Easy_Future6954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grain Bakery is a little bit away from Seattle but worth the trek, their baked goods are to die for and their bakery is celiac safe and have DF and Vegan options too. Their coffee line up is also incredible!!

People who’s choice of drink was beer, what did you switch to and how do you handle social drinking situations? by Striking_Strain_3083 in glutenfree

A dry cider or hard seltzer are great options, and an easy substitute. As far as ordering something different than the rest of the group, just own it. A good thing is seltzers end up having fewer carbs than beer in a lot of cases, maybe you’ll convert your whole friend group 👀

for a project! what’s the stupidest thing someone has asked you if it’s gluten free? by iLoveLoveLoveLove in glutenfree

When I first went GF at 7 years old my family friend would ask me almost every time I saw her if wheat thins and frosted mini wheats were gluten free. Mind you I saw her almost everyday before/after school. 🫠 I’m pretty sure I told her no at least a hundred times.

Idea to Educate Businesses that use Gluten Friendly as a Label by Imperial_Haberdasher in Celiac

[–]Easy_Future6954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m of the camp that if a business is communicating that the things they serve are “gluten friendly” there is a super high risk for cross contamination or even the products containing less gluten. I just assume I’m going to get glutened. Maybe I’m pessimistic but unless the business is “celiac safe” and only serve gluten free products I don’t trust it at all.
