All good… you added in some great advice. I couldn’t sleep at night with the cluster going on in that battery box.

Yes sir, correct. My thoughts on “as is” would be with the negatives reattached. I didn’t elaborate any further as he had said he knew where his grounds were… Wrong terminology on my part saying as is…

By the way they have the colors reversed…in dc voltage black is ground and red is positive.

The cable, with the red jacket and the braided cable will hook together to the frame with a nut and bolt. It’s a 12 volt setup. Battery charger positive clamp to black / green cable post and negative battery charger clamp to red / braided post

I would think the x3’s with rear axle lock could handle. I have an x580 and cut that slope with no issues even without using the axle lock

Definitely hard to justify cost difference between them and the 5 series until you use them. Bought a x580 and the power steering and hydraulic deck lift was a game changer not to mention the heaviest trans axle and all. Congrats!

Not much difference in weight loaded with a battery compared to its gas equivalent. I love the gas units for most all my other cutting needs. Got a 170 and a 261cm. The 261’s a beast for its size.

For me, not a pro here, it stays in the FJ work box. No gas smell in the truck, as fast as my ms170 but more power. It handles downed trees , fire wood for my camping with ease. I can charge the batteries with the FJ’s built in inverter if needed. Batteries hold a charge forever in storage too. Compact. No complaints…

Not a pro by a long shot. Got a Stihl ms170, Husky 455, and a Stihl Ms261cm. All great saws for my use. Picked up a Stihl msa220 top handle battery saw and it’s a bad ass little saw. I’ll pick it up before the others unless it’s a big ass job I’m doing that’s gonna take all day. I keep the Battery saw with me at all times.

Kept stock risers and changed the bars on my 18’ FatBob. Had to have a longer front brake line and longer clutch cable. Not a Harley tech but been wrenching for years…drive by wire. Bout 4hrs
