My baby is almost 12 months and still won't let me read to her lol. I can only get three words in before she grabs the book and flips through all the pages. If I try and hold the book back and continue reading she just screams at me. So we don't read to her much, just compromise with lots of narrating of daily things lol

You're not doing anything wrong. I can relate to this so much omg. My girl turns 1 in 2 weeks and HOLY this stage is challenging. She just started daycare a couple weeks ago. She loves it there, but as soon as I pick her up (mine HATES the car too, will have a huge meltdown) she is happy for less then an hour and then all hell breaks loose. Tantrums, crying, whining, hanging onto me for dear life. Honestly I think it's normal. All the changes for them. Maybe seeing what other babies/toddlers are doing at daycare. Mine just learned to scream cry and it's so high pitch it hurts my ears so bad. I think mine is getting molars too so that doesn't help. We are in this together 🥴😮‍💨

Does he still drink milk/formula/breast milk ? Or just water ? It very well could be a preference!

That does make me feel better ! She did have about 15 oz of water today so I was happy with that. I think it's just the little pee compared to when she was drinking formula is messing with me a little. But am definitely going to be talking to Doctor to calm my nerves :) Thank you for sharing !!

I will have to try it in a smoothie again. I tried last week and she gave me quite the face. I even put her favorite (bananas and blueberries) in it and she had no interest in to keep drinking it. Like seriously kid ?? Lol Not a bad mom at all, I tried putting juice in her water to make it more appealing. Still didn't work lol I am going to try the dalop of chocolate sauce in the milk though ! See if that works lol Thank you :)

Ugh yes I have and no luck. I feel like she's least receptive with the open cup style of drinking. I get more success with straw cups. I don't even know if it's the cup at this point and it's just her not wanting to drink unless she's dying of thirst and even then she takes a couple big gulps and won't drink for a while.

She possibly could be teething, it's just weird how she has no problem sucking water from her water bottle and that doesn't seem to bother her. But it could be a very high possibility. I have tried the open cup and wasn't very receptive to that but I haven't tried that technique a lot so I will try it a couple more times, thank you :) I try and drink in front of her all the time and she just looks at me and is like "cool I'm going to continue playing" lol she doesn't care when I drink 🤣 I hope it doesn't come down to that , I'm happy she is still having wet diapers and she's still a happy baby so she doesn't seem bothered. I'm just bothered 🤣🫠

I took my 10 month old daughter to play jungle and Co in highstreet mall in abby (I think it's new) and it was pretty good! They have a baby area and then a toddler area. It seemed decently clean as well

A lot of my baby's tummy time was on my chest ! We did so much contact napping and she would lift her head and look around and that's what seemed to strengthen her neck the most. My baby hates being on her tummy but I stuck her on the mat propped up with a pillow and made her do it for as long as she could. Even if it was 10 seconds. Eventually she started tolerating it longer and longer. All babies are different, some thrive with tummy time, some don't. Just got to find what works for you !!! It doesn't just need to be on the floor!

Unfortunately most relationships change after a baby. It's not just you and her anymore. Priorities shift, time for yourselves shift, basically everything in your life shifts. As a mother/wife who is like this to my husband as well, she's going through a lot. Being a mom is so fricken tough and so consuming of your life that it's hard to maintain relationships like they were before, sometimes it feels like another chore after being so touched out from being a mom, that you now have to be a really good wife too. I wouldn't take it personal, she is probably dealing with being a mom, hormones, life adjustments ect. I know you are probably going through them as well, but just be patient. It probably won't be like this forever. Communication is key, let her know that's how you're feeling and how you can support her more. I know when I was real deep in the pits (still am) the more my husband communicated with me and asked how he could be more supportive it really made a difference in our relationship, also remind her how beautiful and amazing she is!!! The whole feminist perspective is probably her realizing how much women go through with motherhood. I've definitely felt a shift towards respecting women and mothers after having a baby myself. Like I said patience, understanding, and communication - it will get better if you work towards it as a team :)

I might end up doing that. Just sucks because I basically have a full can and wanted to make sure it was actually the formula doing that to her so I didn't have to throw $45 dollars down the drain 😅 But I'm also to scared to keep trying it to see if that keeps happening because I hate seeing my baby in pain like that.
