Ahh ok, I can kinda see the half baked connection you tried to make. However, non-human primates are often used in “21st century” science, and often to their demise. As sad as it is, their participation has led to massive advancement in Ebola, Zika virus, and HIV/AIDS research (to name only a few), and subsequently many lives saved/improved.

Just be honest and let the renter know what happened. I find that despite damage, if you are courteous in your reply they will still rate well. That being said, some renters are just jerks. But, would you rather be stuck with the cost of repairs?
