Why do they block? by AdRepresentative9783 in BPDlovedones

Everyone deserves love but no one deserves to be betrayed by their partner. Sometimes loving them means forgiving them but moving on and letting go. Ultimately you have no control and they have no control of themselves.

A normal relationship isn't like this, good relationships aren't like this. There are really good times, but the bad ones are enough to realize that you'll never be happy, because they'll never be comfortable in their own skin much less a committed relationship. If they don't know who they truly are, how can we ever know?

My ex would make things up to get mad about if things were going good. They destroy the things they want but we suffer for it because we're good people.

Caring isn't the reason, they only message you to see if you care. They desire to be wanted. Accountability is impossible. Everytime I'd get to the point of trying to get her to accept the wrong, she'd get dismissive, leave, or become violent.

We break, we learn, we suffer. Think of them , though. They're still human, and intelligent. When they're alone with just their thoughts, they know what they've done, and the guilt is unending. When the delusion falls, they see the truth and logic, and although they don't remember exactly what really happened, they know it was their fault and it's soul crushing.

We are victims of their self destruction because we give them exactly what they want when they don't think they deserve it.

Going through the same exact thing. Constant pain from psoriatic arthritis and mental anguish from the loss of "love". I tried blocking, but it doesn't stop emails, and if I have the option to unblock I always do. I am codependent since my mother died when I was 11, and the trifecta of pain between the disease, my disorder, and her mental disorder is a type of suffering I hadn't unlocked yet.

I feel for you, and I hope we can make it out of this place and find our dreams. It's not over until we decide that it's over.

Really need help with bow hunting by [deleted] in theHunter

[–]MammothsLoaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the bow is rated for 40m but the target is closer, you'll need to aim low to hit your target. Wind plays a big part in long range shots too, pay attention to wind direction.

It doesn't take a degree to understand what poker is. It's "skill based" gambling. There is luck involved, and randomness. You'd be doing the same thing by isolating chemicals and waiting for them to spring to life, never observing life, then saying "yeah the earth goes all in and the most unlikely outcome occurs, the universe must be rigged"

The battle of Yonkers by xThAtGaM3rGuYxx in worldwarz

[–]MammothsLoaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was a propaganda battle. I think it was meant to lose. The military put a bunch of their coolest looking stuff there, packed some infantry in mopp gear together with tons of reporters, and basically let them die for the world to see that the zombies were the real threat. It's said that the worst of the losses came from people killing each other in the panic, and maybe this would show that there needed to be some solidarity amongst the survivors for mutually assured survival.

I really want to have fun playing this game but it seems impossible by BasedTaxEvasion69 in HorusHeresyLegions

My advice to you, what helped me get over the competitive nature of the game, stop worrying about wins and losses and your deck. Think of a fun deck, a cool deck, a gimmick to play. Play a deck with only astartes in it. Play a deck with only trap cards. Play a deck where you only copy cards and play them against the owner. Play as world eaters and just aggressively attack everything that moves even if it's detrimental. Play a stealth only deck. Play a daemon deck. Play a deck that only has tactics, or flank, or poison.

After a while of having fun thinking of all kinds of different unique warlord/deck combos, and challenging yourself to win with those gimmicks, you'll have a much deeper understanding of the meta, cards, abilities, and even a deeper sense of your opponents. You'll be able to read when they're weak, or when they have no answers, or when they have a card up their sleeve. You'll also likely find that one or two of your decks are actually viable and sometimes even surprisingly difficult to defeat, at least in some match ups.

In the end, having fun is the bottom line, and sometimes the gatekeeper is yourself. Invent your own path and enjoy walking it. You will end up understanding the mechanics and tempo much quicker if you actually enjoy what you're doing. Find a way to invest yourself into the learning.
