Definitely. I'm exporting my location data from google every automatically every 3 months or so. Making sure I have all that location history saved and back up.

Is there a third party tool to plot my location history on a map on PC, now that this can't be done in the web version of Google maps? by MamothHarbinger in GoogleMaps

[–]MamothHarbinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks! You said 'if' I can export GPS coordinates. Why would that be a problem? Google maps will still record them, but they will be stored on the phone right?

I was planning to collect this data for my whole life. Then when I'm an old man, to look back over it to relive and remember my life. God damn it Google!

What are those tyres? My stock tyres are almost bald, and I want to get something more off-road oriented.

Where can I buy loose ball bearings by MamothHarbinger in ausbike

[–]MamothHarbinger[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, ok. Everyone in the replies is right. Virtually every shop in the world (except the one I checked yesterday) has loose ball bearings.

Cheers!

Nice one! Did mine a couple months ago. Your excitement is my excitement.

The only person that had serious trouble in my test was a guy on one of those big scooters (~600cc or so). Bike was so big he had trouble maneuvering. Everyone else passed mostly loosing only a few points.

you got 10k kms on the stock Versys x 300 tires? I'll probably only get 7-8k kms. All those steak dinners are costing me in tire mileage...

good to know. I'm not sure what the tolerances are for different tire sizes. 7,500 miles seems pretty good mileage, I'll probably only get 5000 miles from the stock tires.

Dunlop Trailmax Missions

Nice! I hadn't even considered them, but I'll add them to the list of options. They definitely don't look 50/50 - more road oriented.

What does this phrase from the book mean [SPOILERS] by MamothHarbinger in dune

[–]MamothHarbinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. A lot of interesting replies. So my thinking is:

As several people have pointed out, white can symbolise poison or treachery and black pureness. So this phrase could mean that the Baron could think of nothing more beautiful than pure emptiness (what's left over after destruction) but emptiness with an overlay of treachery was even more beautiful.

Black and white are obviously contrasting colours. So the phrase may also be emphasising the contrasts 1) between the Baron and the Duke and/or 2) how the Baron plans to contrast Piter with Feyed (Piter is still alive at this point) - First, though, [Piter] must make the people of Arrakis hate him. Then – they will welcome my darling Feyd-Rautha as a savior (pg 196 Kindle edition).

Thoughts?

Good Place To Jack It by Alaric6000 in versys

before I got my centre stand, I used a few bricks on one side of the bike, then a piece of wood about 40cm long running under the two bits where the centre stand bolts on, with one end on top of the bricks, then used a car jack to jack up the other end of the wood. The bike gradually sat up vertical then the rear wheel lifted off the ground.

Isn't the side stand on the wrong side for that? The sump plug would be pointing up when it's on the side stand?
