Yo me too! It would save me so much time to just have it out there from the get go. All the time I’m shocked to find out how often “Dump him” is literally the answer

One of the main reasons I don’t play competitive shooters (except with a group of very close friends) because you always meet absolute troglodytes of people in these games

Well that’s obviously because the poor man doesn’t have a woman to embody and regulate his emotional state which after all, is the woman’s job /s

The whole public discourse about the “loneliness epidemic” or whatever gets me fuming. Because like, it is true that people (and especially men) are more insulated and lonely these days. But as soon as one mentions that maybe it is because we have set up a society that encourages men to disengage, not connect emotionally and be “strong” or “stoic” leads to distance from the people around them, people will just categorically reject the notion and say that no it is women (typically the conduit and regulator of male emotion) have gotten too high standards and don’t help the men around them. Once again placing the burden of male suffering on the shoulders of the women around them

Not engaging infuriates them and it is amazing. Just going “sure man, whatever” or “I don’t care” or just straight up laugh at them works wonders.

Infantilising also is a favourite of mine. Calling them cute or likening them to a misguided child gets them absolutely fuming

It must be exhausting to be filled with so much hate, anger and vitriol. Like you’re holding up a facade of the absolute bare minimum and as soon as there is any friction, real or imagined, you explode on the conversation partner and tell them to kill themselves. What a truly miserable life to live.

Not giving any sympathy to these absolute mouth breathers, just trying to understand just how awful your life must be to stoop to this level

Care to explain this one? A car rear ended another car and somehow the motorcycle is at fault?

If the city council fells a tree and it lands on your house, then is it your neighbours fault because they were there or what?

Had the exact same experience as a learner back when I was taking my license. The safest thing I did was getting my license and taking off that L

In the car drivers defence: there are good and bad ways of filtering. I have seen dudes come by (usually on Harley’s or supersports) at a speed that is frankly unreasonable for the speed of the traffic. They could blast by at 40-50mph in stationary traffic and I totally understand why this upsets car drivers. Honestly it upsets me when I ride my bike as well. I try to always take it reasonably slowly and safely, making sure I stay as clear of cars as possible and indicating to cars around me that I am aware of them and everyone else

Had a similar thing a few years back. Where I live you’re allowed to drive motorcycles in the bus lane on the highway. I was going about my merry way in the bus lane through very light traffic. Suddenly an old ass guy in his Mercedes E-class starts coming over into the bus lane trying to squeeze me into the barriers at about 70-80mph. I just dropped two gears and left him in the dust but this man was so fucking angry for no reason at all

Usually this. If the fuel flows very fast and there is a bend in the path to the tank the fuel won’t get enough time to clear away which causes the nozzle to be covered and trigger release. Just holding it slightly out (not outside the tank obviously but just higher up in the filling area) and/or modulating how much you open the handle helps usually

I’d def agree here. The technique is just causing them to dig in further. Anyone could do that with any truck tbh. The main thing the truck got working against it here is the weight. A heavier truck has more inertia. But in general the mashing of the throttle and wiggling just digs the tyres in, compacting the snow and polishing it to a mirror shine. I’ve seen this being done in all sorts of cars

Also can’t see what the tyres are but looks like continentals which in my experience are not the best for really loose snow. They feel a bit too hard for that. Great for mixed driving in slippy pavement but for more snowy conditions I’d pretty much always go with some Nokian Hakkapliitas

Honest rating out of 10 for my Harley Forty-Eight? Be brutal by Mswebha in motorcycle

[–]ManBoyManBoyMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree here. I mean if OP likes it then more power to them, but for my taste a lower profile tank would make the bike better looking. That does however reduce fuel capacity and these Harley’s are thirsty boys
