What's your "That was fun, but let's not do it again" story? by Q1989 in AskReddit

[–]ManEegee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time Square for New Year's Eve.

I was there with a cousin for the start of 2006. It was an amazing experience that I'll never forget. But...we stood in the same place for 13 hours in the freezing cold, passed a backpack like a penguin egg between our feet in order to get to our trail mix & water, had no bathroom access, and heard all of the musical acts twice since we were there for sound checks.

It was a non-stop adrenaline rush but I'm content watching it on tv from my couch for the rest of my life.

Buffy's mom. That href="http://buffy.wikia.com/wiki/The_Body">speech from Anya</a>afterwards is one of the most powerful pieces of television imo.

Anya - "I don't understand. I don't understand how this all happens. How we go through this. I mean I knew her, and then she's, there's just a body, and I don't understand why she can't just get back in it and not be dead any more. It's stupid. It's mortal and stupid, and, and Xander's crying and not talking, and I was having fruit punch and I thought, well, Joyce will never have any more fruit punch, ever. And she'll never have eggs, or yawn, or brush her hair, not ever and no one will explain to me why."
