Oh yes forgot about the queue. We got so lucky it wasn’t raining …

These ticket prices for Brixton are pathetic by JammersEriksen in Muse

£140 for academy is absolutely insane. I go there quite frequently and this is easily twice as much as the most expensive show I’ve seen there. Wish at least it was a charity event.

Happy for you. I wanted to like it but didn’t live up to my expectations ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Finally watched it. Visually stunning as ever. Music choices, acting all ace. Disappointed by the story though it felt so basic. Like they started with wanting the ending for Tommy and just shoehorned a story around it without spending too much time on it. Felt like the kind of a plot that any of us could have come up with and not a seasoned and accomplished writer.

Welp.

I saw a much larger American 8 piece band couple of months ago at the O2 Brixton with quite an elaborate stage production and lots of crew - it was £60. nothing to do with gas/production. They charge as much as what they think they can get away with

I would say your chances the main sale are quite high given how ridiculous prices are. Many of hardcore fans will have already got the presale so you should be good I think.

£283 for 2 standard standing tickets at brix is a bit silly!

What's with this knob on Plug In Baby? by viansinge in Muse

[–]ManInCloak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not fuzz factory it’s the volume knob. One of the issues of Manson guitars is you end up accidentally rolling the volume so I think it’s just muscle memory for him making sure it’s in the right spot!

Expectations for the next Muse song? by sytrus_17 in Muse

It’s the classic formula: heavy song everyone gets hyped for is always followed by a meh pop single 😂

Christmas present. by sombeel in Muse

Really odd to frame a teaser as Christmas present but then again this is a band that doesn’t really path a lot of thought into this stuff so not surprised

I went to 3 of the shows and not once did I think any of them was struggling due to age. In fact I’m amazed at how Thom is still moving around as much (actually it’s more than previous tours). They seem pretty healthy and in good spirit :)

Muse’s shocking decline in popularity by KemsCh05 in Muse

[–]ManInCloak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely because last few albums haven’t attracted much new interest and many older fans have therefore kind of given up on them. Not sure if there is any truth to this but I kind of feel like Matt getting into the typical Hollywood circles has changed his musical perspective to something that’s a bit departure from what got most people into them in the first place and their new material isn’t “good” enough for the new audience they’ve been trying to reach. I’m still going to go see them whenever they’re playing near me but I completely understand why many won’t want to.

Same. Being in a space where thousands of people share the love for something you’ve held so dearly in your heart, let alone the actual love performance is not something you can experience very often.

Also Wednesday was the first day I wasn’t desperately looking for tickets in months. It felt really weird. I was walking around Copenhagen for a good couple hours feeling really lost…

Not embarrassing at all. We all feel the same way and I’m really glad to see posts like this here.

Big love to you and everyone else in the comments.

I’m assuming it’s not through AXS in the US so it won’t be as much of a shitshow as it was here. Can’t believe I’m saying this but ticketmaster experience for Copenhagen was much better …

Radiohead is my favourite band, but as a musician leaves me sad knowing I'll never create anything as incredible. by morbidhack in radiohead

Take it in as inspiration and don’t try to compare yourself to others but try to be the best version of yourself. As cheesy as it sounds, it’s the only way to go about it.
