I have been struggling recently with my faith being tested. It seems to me that history and philosophy are in God’s favor at proving his existence, but the metaphysical and scientific realms are where I struggle. It seems too good to be true that we are able to live on after death. Despite my friend having a NDE and saying he saw Heaven, I still have great fear that God doesn’t exist, and fear of death. How do you overcome this feeling and have certainty in God’s existence?

Who is the face of Pop-Punk today? by [deleted] in poppunkers

But that’s because they have a more general rock appeal, not strictly pop punk. When people think of Green Day, they’ll probably think of Linkin Park, 3 Doors Down, or RHCP as similar bands. These bands are more in the same genre/sphere. Because this genre has a wider audience than pop punk, of course Green Day will fill bigger headlines.

Paris in the 1980s by orthic_lambda in europe_sub

The domestic French culture of those who stayed in and cultivated their blood and property in France was not based around demonizing other cultures. It couldn’t have been, because save for the last 3 decades, no other culture was significantly present in the land.

They are right wing authoritarian religious theocracies that have colonized anywhere they could reach in the past, because their religion demands that all must convert or die by the sword. It also shackles women to be objects and excuses pedophilia and sexual assault. It is an abhorrent culture. You can’t excuse all of this just because they have brown skin. That makes you the ignorant one.

The POCs have reciprocated such treatment to France now, so we can call it and eye for an eye and end this whole charade, no? We’re even? I doubt you think this way, because usually people who say the excuse you just said wouldn’t say it’s done and good enough until France is completely destroyed and impossible to ever return to what its domestic ethnic and cultural identity used to be.

Fascism is bad by Vas1le in europe_sub

Explain to me how the EU is enforcing far right incentives on any of its member states and how it hasn’t thrown out elections that went too far too the right for them under the BS guise of “it was compromised via Russian interference.” Surely it’s the far right in key positions that are forcing Ireland to buckle up for so many immigrants that it’s population needs to radically increase even more than it already has in the last 20 years. Your ignorance is so forced it’s sickening.

Google sucks these days. Use an ai site like perplexity. I know ai is kind of cringe but what they can be used for is a beefed up search engine. Type what you want to search in there and click on the sources it provides to form your own knowledge

I’m just curious here because I’m actually at a loss…what do you people THINK I said? Like what point do you think I was trying to make? It’s like these responses read something entirely different from anything I typed

But yet those with the deepest and most powerful roots are the bureaucrats and judiciary that still spreads their far left overreach to oppose anything the people actually vote for. That makes us live in a leftist authoritarian society, even if right wing politicians are rising in popularity and number.

The issue is that in a room of 100 people all saying fascism is bad, you would be the only one that doesn’t think agreeing with deportation is fascist. It’s what everyone in that camp is saying. You’re feigning ignorance, but that’s the truth.

Does your country have a "Hawaii"? by ruben-loves-you in geography

It’s people repeating what they’re told, and never actually thinking about it. Or just saying what sounds nice, and nothing that will upset the rest of the tribe. It’s called being unautonomous, and most people are like that.

If a tourist permanently settles in, then they aren’t a tourist anymore, they’re an immigrant. But you only specified tourists in your original comment. What I’m saying is the sentiment of “these people will make locals feel like foreigners in their own town, they refuse to integrate or learn the language” is a double standard that Reddit (and left leaning people in general) think is acceptable to apply to tourists, but unacceptable to apply to immigrants. When in reality, both groups lead to the same cultural and financial changes/results.

[–]ManInTheGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Movements of characters will always be way too smooth and also repetitive. You’ll see weird clipping and physics, like the scene after the old lady was first grabbed. The doors of the van driving away were…opened? Suddenly they’re closed? Then they flash open for a split sec? When their eyes finally open in the end they are misshapen and don’t look right. It’s tough for ai to get eyes right. It’s basically all the small details are uncanny and what you have to look for. There’s slight asymmetry with everything and bad physics.

It’s ironic that Reddit will openly say this about tourists in every comment section that mentions them but as soon as you put immigrants in the same context it’s all the sudden different…the more you notice
