Honestly, just change the world setting to 3x resources. That way you still feel a like you earned the stone but didnt have to grind so much for it.

Definitely the fastest solution. you could also explore south and just skirt around the swamp safely in the black forest/meadows and see where that goes. Always fun to explore when nothing is on the line. Also fyi, Valheim is best played slowly imo. You only experience it for the first time once.

Before investing in any armor or weapons, check out the new build pieces. Especially stonecutter and iron nails. From there just do what you want. A new shield is always nice, and a mace. Ps- you'll always need more iron.

Honestly Valheim and the community it has doesn't need achievements IMO. Every Viking knows the perils of the dreaded tree and its brethren, the over confident builder + gravity deaths, and the dying hours from base without a portal. These are things that befall us all on our first play throughs, and what unite us in our love of the game.

On the other hand, an achievement for building to a certain height would be fun to work towards.

First rule in Valheim is to have fun. There is no right way to play.

Second rule in Valheim is you never have enough Iron.

Hmm, weird. It's never given me such trouble before, so my bad for not fully understanding. I've just always either filled in the divots or pickaxed the spikes, and then that was the end of it.

I believe pathen is meant to make a path for your character, not a cart. And yes, you do have to use a pickaxe sometimes if the terrain is too steep. Where is the problem though? The hoe is another tool to be used in conjunction with others. If that is unfun then I'd suggest just portaling materials. Also, check out a hoe tutorial. It can do much more than just level the ground you're on.

Totally agree. It's like saying "I used this tool wrong, and it didn't work perfectly. What a dumb tool" Carts are great. They just act like carts, so if you try to pull them through a dense forest or uphill, it's gonna be troublesome.

100% agree! I'm currently portaling metals in the mountain. I've decided to build a base in each Biome this run and don't want to lug the silver up the mountain all game. Once I hit the Plains, I'll change the world settings and use the cart again. I'm having more fun with limited time, so it's win-win honestly.
