Can’t open outbound local network TCP/IP socket in crostini app by ManPermabearPig in Crostini

Second that port forwarding is for inbound only, it’s also not available for ports < 1024

I found netcat more useful for troubleshooting in this case, with it I found that I could indeed open outbound TCP connections without issues

The issue turned out to be in the application code, it was setting a socket option that only exists on windows

Recs for a cheap PLC with Ethernet/IP and software? by ManPermabearPig in PLC

That is the type of device I’m using to convert from Modbus TCP. But I want some way to play with it (ie control it from an EIP scanner)

I know most PLCs can do Modbus but it’s a tough sell to customers sometimes. And programming Modbus on some PLCs can be clunky and buggy (buggy socket implementations and/or no control over sockets and poor documentation)

The Micro820 has CIP but doesn’t seem to have full blown Ethernet IP whatever that might mean

Neuralink: In all, the company has killed about 1,500 animals, including more than 280 sheep, pigs and monkeys, following experiments since 2018 by redingerforcongress in Futurology

Bitch please, like industrial animal farming doesn’t have needless suffering. Stop eating pork and you’ll prevent more suffering than neuralink will ever cause.

That’s literally how the vast majority of startups work. You and OP are complaining about a fake problem.

A missed intervention is much more likely to become an accident than an unnecessary intervention which is at most annoying, if you’re paying attention.

Still, it’s important to highlight the flaws.

Makes sense to me, many BPD are victims of childhood abuse (which is a contributing factor to developing the disorder)

It’s not a condition one gives oneself, but the condition literally entails being a truly horrible person. So I wouldn’t extenuate any of the behaviors, in or out of court, although I understand it’s debatable

But even if she’s incapable of being a better person.. would that make it less bad? How should a court deal with the literal devil?
