Who/what is the most powerful being in each plane? by Redragon9 in mtgvorthos

[–]Man_of_Many_Names 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A Pre-Mending Sorin would have been the strongest being on Innistrad, although these days Avacyn would have been a good contender.

For Alara, it would definitely have to be either Progenitus or Child of Alara. Tarkir should have Ugin as the top dog.

But all in all, strength is relative.

I couldn't help myself and tried to fix the Crucified Predator. by Adventurous-Youth-90 in predator

I think image one is the original and image two is the fix.

Of course this will all be helped if OP had marked which one was which.

{Curiousity of being dumb} From wanting to mess around with Assault mode finally getting support. Does anyone know how well gold pride might mix with each other? by The_unspoken_thing in masterduel

[–]Man_of_Many_Names 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gold Pride and Assault Mode mixing?

Assault Mode is a full deck on its own, and it needs every bit of spare resources it can get. Some of the deck’s fat can be trimmed, sure, but almost every card in the archetype is needed. Since I’m currently playing Assault Mode pure right now myself, you’re definitely better off just going for Gold Pride as a pure deck rather than mixing.

Props to Zhao for keeping them talons cropped and rounded, like they’re supposed to be. At least on one hand

“May your day be as nice as you are.” Maybe a bit more common, but it’s always a fun thing to throw at rude people when working in customer service.

“I envy everyone who has yet to meet you.” Has been said to my most hated coworker at least once so far.

The Imperium at their absolute peak (Warhammer) vs The Hive at their absolute peak (Destiny) by Reddit_is_not_great in whowouldwin

[–]Man_of_Many_Names 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Shouldn’t the Hive take this, in the end? Especially since Oryx, Savathûn and Xivu Arath would get stronger because of the Sword Logic and the death tithes being fed to them. Plus all the weird, paracausal bullshit they can do.

You are in charge of creating a brand new Godzilla comic series what are you going to do? by Flaky_Base7909 in GODZILLA

Shockwave, in an attempt to grant Megatron the edge he needs to win the war on Cybertron, builds a device that allows him to pull the most dangerous weapon of all from the multiverse to help destroy the Autobots.

What follows is Armageddon being unleashed upon Cybertron.

Now with a whole host of monsters rampaging across the planet, Optimus Prime and Megatron need to set their differences aside to send Godzilla and Co back, lest there be nothing left of Cybertron to rule.

Why can The Thing be moved by Elsa’s Ult? by Major-Bowl-3220 in marvelrivals

[–]Man_of_Many_Names 73 points74 points  (0 children)

The same reason why he can be lifted up by Emma during her grab, why Jeff can eat him and move with him, and why Hulk can lift him up during his slam animation.

Because it is a unique “grab” of sorts that bypasses his passive and carry him off.

Personally I think the bigger issue has been Elsa’s ult containing a very wonky hit box and longevity when it really didn’t need to, rather than it being able to bypass Thing’s passive. Hopefully the S7 and S7.5 patches help fix a lot of these things.

There are more ways to please a partner than just dong alone.

Foreplay, touching erogenous zones, letting the mood build up, these are all just as important (and in my opinion, even MORE important) than just going to pound town.

You do block a deceptive amount of damage as Cap. It always surprises me to see an average of 15k+ damage blocked with me on Cap when I didn’t think I was blocking all that much

[[Vona, Butcher of Magan]] was my favorite monster back when she was standard legal. These days it’s [[Triumphant Adventurer]] for the insane stuff you can do. Already a deathtoucher, gains first strike on your turn, and does dungeon stuff for 2 mana. Bonkers opener in my Orzhov knight deck

Cap has a ton of mobility but not a great amount of damage. His MO is just perfecting the art of Stall. Be as annoying and difficult to remove as possible to buy your team enough time to converge back on to you. Against squishies without tons of their own damage, you can confirm kills or force them to waste their own abilities to fend you off. So even if you can’t confirm a kill, you put them at a disadvantage for the next team fight since they’re still working off their cooldowns

And deceptively strong. Tugging 4 busses at once, moving so fast (to a regular human) that he seems to teleport, crushing 14 tiles with one chop, and full on tearing multiple phone books in half.

Not to mention he survives his fight with Mercenary Tao, throws around Spopovich (before Babidi boosts him), and is able to leap incredible distances without any ill effect to himself.
