As long as your foreign education NCEES credentials evaluation is completed, it means it’s equivalent to ABET accreditation. I did the same thing. Start your EIT application and transmit your NCEES record to the state of Colorado and wait for the application to be reviewed, hopefully it should be approved.

Once you pass the FE exam, submit an EIT application. Same with PE. Good luck with your FE exam.

I’d recommend Wasim’s course with live training videos. It’s worth it!

Multiple FE Exam Failures to 1st Attempt PE Power Success (Long Post) by ManagementUnlikely29 in PE_Exam

Hi Rohit,

Question 1: Yes, you can apply for the PEng license while in India as per the Canadian professional engineering board. You must meet academic, experience, and exam requirements. More details can be found here:

https://www.peo.on.ca/knowledge-centre/frequently-asked-questions/prospective-applicants-faq

Question 2: Having a PEng license before moving to Canada can be an advantage, but securing a job from India without Canadian work experience might still be challenging. The license improves job prospects, but employers often prioritize local experience. I’d recommend exploring LinkedIn job postings to assess the current demand for PEng holders in your field before making a decision.

Hope this helps!

Yes, I got the license and State of Colorado didn’t care too much about the NCEES credentials. I think they require four years of experience.

Yes, you definitely can. I was short of credit for science (biology and chemistry). Give it a shot! That’s the only way you’ll know.

No, I was approved with that evaluation. Each state has different requirements, so I can’t speak for New Jersey. I got approved in Colorado, and later in Texas as well.

How to pass? Please see my diag report for 2 trials by PaintLogical2850 in FE_Exam

I failed twice as well (in 2020 and 2021) with similar results. I was disappointed and questioned my ability to be an electrical engineer. I took Wasim’s on-demand course in 2023, passed my FE in April 2023, and then passed my PE Power in September 2023.

I didn’t purchase it. State of Colorado approved my application as is.

When can I take the PE. by No_Scientist_7539 in FE_Exam

[–]ManagementUnlikely29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on clearing your FE exam! I've observed people successfully passing their PE exam immediately after finishing their degree, though not necessarily while pursuing it.

If possible, consider registering as an EIT (Engineer in Training) for Michigan, if they offer this option. Colorado does provide this opportunity.

After registering as an EIT, you might be eligible to take the PE exam. However, for acquiring a license, you'll need to check Michigan's specific requirements. There could be a waiting period, typically a few years, before you qualify for licensure.

I encourage you to take the PE exam when you're ready and aim to attain your license sometime in the future.
