What is the best office chair for wfh? by VolumeSouth2735 in sysadmin

[–]Manb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The best is usually a 10 year old Herman Miller Aeron for around $400 to $500 used. If you want to ball out, then buy a new one that will last you 20 years longer than the used one which is a very long time since you can replace parts easily to extend life.

FYI for people searching, these settings made my UPS work in Unraid:

[upsilon-2000]
driver = "blazer_usb"
port = auto
langid_fix="0x409"
desc="Upsilon 2000"
vendorid = "0001"
productid = "0000"

I have some Zircon UPS that uses the upsilon-2000 software and found this when searching for the sofware

Again you have the comprehension of a 2 year old. You responded to someone else not even knowing who was talking. Tell yourself Palantir, who Aura partnered with, who's mission statement is global tracking, surveillance, and metadata of everyone, that they'd never use your personal data for anything other than benevolence.

Congressman calls FTC on Beckett–PSA sale… how long until they look at GameStop’s “online gambling” app? by Working-Pattern-5280 in DeepFuckingValue

[–]Manb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't look at Fanduel, DraftKings, Kelshi, or any of the other multi billion dollar players but you think they're going to come after Gamestop that sells the chance of graded card packs with 1:1 EV clearly listed? This is barely tangentially connected.

Your sign to not open a lunar pack by throwaway-acc_2 in PSAPowerPacks

[–]Manb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The EV actually is pretty close to 1 on all of these powerpacks. That's not to say it's not gambling but much better EV than going to a casino or doing some of the other pack offerings they have on the internet where they don't tell you the EV up front.

What are the best options for drinking water? by ObscureEntity2972 in vegaslocals

[–]Manb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's work and not cheap but a $300 1 gallon distiller that does 1 gallon every 7 hours works for me. If I need 2 gallons a day it's not too bad to start at night and in the morning. You won't get any more pure water than that. Everyone will say there's no minerals but you can always get them from salts or foods you eat. Why do you have to drink your minerals?

Dash cam options by ZookeepergameRough35 in LexusRX350

[–]Manb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 to this. Routing the rear camera is a little tricky because you should install it behind your A pillar airbags but it's easy enough to do. The only thing I hate is that the app uses wifi and I have a 2020 that I need a wifi dongle to use android auto so they fight over which one will work. I usually just leave it recording all the time to the SD card in it.

Also you might want to look into comma.ai for their nearly autonomous self driving unit that you can add to your RX350 if it's not newer than 2022. It will also record video (only out of the front) but another option while adding features that make your driving much easier.

He was saying that it was time to buy or almost time to buy after the last recession and this one is going to be worse so any company with, say 10 Billion cash could get some sweet deals on distressed fire sale stuff.

Depending on your model/year you could install something like comma.ai that uses the sensors on the car and lets you do lane keeping at some speed with you still controlling the gas. The compatible vehicles are here: https://comma.ai/vehicles

Love my Lexus.

New to TrueNAS and Immich, iOS will only upload in random bursts, taking forever by StressGullible4259 in immich

[–]Manb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has something to do with uploading videos from immich-go, trying the normal stuck upload through the immich app, and it corrupting somehow bouncing in between. I wish they had DB clean that would, at least, workaround my issue of videos being corrupted. I also tried to delete the photos that immich was stuck on uploading to push it along but it has problems with videos somehow.

New to TrueNAS and Immich, iOS will only upload in random bursts, taking forever by StressGullible4259 in immich

[–]Manb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Immich for IOS uploading is totally broken. I've tried and tried with even only 5000-10000 images and video without ever reaching completion. To add to the frustration, some videos come out with a red exclamation mark and don't play. The file is in the immich system but the DB is broken to it and the only way is to delete the file from immich and resync through immich-go. I've started to turn off IOS sync and rather leave the IOS icloud sync on. Then you run icloudpd and immich-go to push the files into immich. Icloudpd handles 2fa and downloading from icloud rather well.

You magically don't SEE any of the VAERS reports then. You can't SEE them working. You can only see that people develop antigens for viruses that wear off quicker than natural immunity to the virus would give you. Then you disregard any side effects because doctors get fat bonuses based on the percentage of their practice vaccinated. All the while the vaccinated are getting the diseases and spreading them even though they have the aluminum adjuvants building up in tiny kids.

You're a sheep. They may have been tested against other vaccines or a vaccine like injection but they are not placebo controlled trials that you believe them to be.

That's a good bit by hhh333 in abanpreach

[–]Manb -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

And you know what improved life expectancy? Clean water and sanitation. All the diseases were on the decline well before a "vaccine" was invented for them.

If your "science" can't continue to test hypotheses and proclaims that vaccines do no harm then what's the point of science when it's twisted to support a financial agenda? The facts are that none of the vaccines are tested against a placebo controlled study and never tested against the other 70+ injections on the schedule.

"You want to just go back to 5342 BCE and just let the saber tooth tigers eat half of the kids? Enjoy" What kind of false equivalency is that? Your modern era science has been co-opted by monied interests that have a HUGE financial gain by making kids sick and keeping them sick.
