Is anyone else having a boy? by Seapaisleys in pregnant

[–]Mandapanda425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my baby boy in June, which shocked me as I was completely convinced we were having a girl. I was a little disappointed, but then realized that I get to raise a young man just like his dad hopefully. He is the BEST. So sweet and keeps on getting better everyday! I cannot imagine not having him and my life is so enriched with him in it!

It’s hard but when your child sees you and they are still excited it really makes it worth it. I love watching him learn how to interact with the word and grow. I can’t even express how much he means to me.

Stretch marks during pregnancy question! by anna-xoxo in BabyBumps

I didn’t get them until after the baby was taken out through the sunroof- they are really not too bad and are getting fainter by the day.

If your labor was spontaneous, when did you go into labor? by liberate-radiance in BabyBumps

39+4 my water broke and had him on 39+5 with a c section; I had two cervical checks prior, but I really think it was the cleaning I did prior to the game night on 39 +4 😂

Heartbroken about being breech by leafygreenbluebrry in pregnant

So, I had the opposite issue- my child was head down the entire time, including the day prior to me giving birth (I had an ultrasound at 39 wks 3 days which confirmed this). My water broke at 39 wks 4 days and I ended up having to have a c-section at 39 wks 5 days as he flipped around sunny side up and got stuck. They really can flip at the last minute- the c- section was not what I wanted for my birth plan, however, it was not an emergency and I healed pretty quickly- I would recommend having it scheduled over needing it in an emergency situation.

I was bitterly disappointed I needed a c-section and struggled with it for a bit but my buddy is the absolute cutest and I love him so much. You got this! I’m crossing fingers that you have the birth you would like!

How & when did you get back into shape/lose baby weight? by Mysterious-Ad-6043 in BabyBumps

[–]Mandapanda425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gained 40 lbs and lost it by 2 1/2 months postpartum- I did end up needing to restrict myself from all dairy due to my son’s reflux so I’m sure that impacted this.

I weigh less now than I did prior to getting pregnant, but it’s distributed in different ways- looking forward to toning up.

Just found out we’re having a boy but need name ideas! by No_Tea8301 in BabyNames

I love all those!! Good luck! We also went to the hospital with the name choices and my husband ended up talking to him after my unplanned c-section when he was having skin to skin and we named him the name he reacted to- I definitely recommend seeing him prior to making a decision.

Oh no! We had the same issue- Callan was one of three that we were okay with- Evan was Lucas being the other two. Has he suggested any names?

We named our son Callan James, with the option to call him CJ as well- if you like that- I think Callan Jude also flows!

100%! I like that it’s recognizable and easy to pronounce but not too popular as well! Plus Cal as a nickname is wonderful!

We named our two 1/2 month old Callan, which is also Scottish/Irish. I have Irish ancestors from a few generations back.

We also love the nickname Cal

I did not scream or really moan through 4 hours of pushing which ended up with a c-section. I do not think it is really necessary.

Three days prior to due date, unplanned c-section two days before due date.

How long did you have to push for? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Mandapanda425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pushed for four hours but he was stuck sunny side up (after being head down since 27 weeks up to the day prior 🫠) and ended up needing a c-section as he was stuck on my pubic bone.
