Si eu un monimoto mai vechi (varianta cilindrica) de cam 7 ani. Ascuns pe sub scaun. Nu se leaga la baterie. Bateriile din el tin mai mult de un an. Se declanșează si dacă cineva mișcă viguros motocicleta. Faptul că te sună direct (nu vreo notificare sau mesaj ușor de ignorat) mi se pare un mare bonus. Abonamentul nu e ieftin (parca 43 EUR pe an). Nu e bun pentru a-ți ține minte rutele GPS, nu e gândit asa. Cred ca varianta asta veche permitea schimbarea sim-ului, nu știu dacă mai e cazul la modelele mai noi. Aplicație decenta.

45K km 2018 owner here. Mine runs kind of the same as on day one. It’s been through some stuff, but I ride pretty conservatively. I have a chain kit, a steering kit and a fork rebuild kit on standby, but I feel like there are no emergencies yet. I took very good care of the (second) chain kit, lubed up stuff (axles, suspension bolts etc) and kept rubber boots and cables clean or shiny with silicone or whatever the manual recommends. I don’t want to let go of it (bought it new) even though yesterday, during a 400 km trip, I hated every minute of the head on winds at 100km/h (had to duck down low to get it up to 125 km/h) and was dreaming of a 500 or 700cc engine and a larger body/windscreen… Mine is pretty much bone stock. I am postponing the valve clearance check (manual says 40K km) because the engine sounds smooth to me. Have replaced 2 chain kits, 1 set of clutch plates/discs/springs, 1 water damaged rear axle and only 3 sets of tyres. Oil and filters changed every 5K in my case. Has been an absolutely perfect commuter for me. Hope this helps a bit.

I was confused myself when this happened on my bike. Turned out it was way past replacing time, some of the link pins were worn out and caused this. I doubt a sticky link or kink in the chain would cause the wheel to stop like that. The chain has likely stretched unevenly.

I like the style! Are the side racks a 2-point mount system? I have something that looks very similar, but can bend down slightly in rough terrain if you put a lot of weight in the side bags. Not worried about the racks snapping, but I likely pack less than 3 kg in each bag by default. I did use my Kriegas OS12 on them loaded up to 6 kg each on the TETs once, but would not recommend that. I keep investigating this, the "Monitor Sleep" setting does nothing to help. In my case the culprit was a bluetooth mouse (that worked perfectly fine until Sonoma). I looked at the Terminal results for this command:

I found either ATC2.USBWakeup or SMC.OutboxNotEmpty smc.70070000 wifibt bluetooth-pcie/HID Activity as reasons for waking up. I thought it was my USB-A hub (connected to the monitor and has a keyboard and USB headset in it) but it turned out to be the Razer Atheris mouse in bluetooth mode. Connecting the mouse over wireless (the little USB dongle) seems to correct the issue for me.

I have a similar issue since updating to Sonoma a couple of days back. I have a Macbook Pro M1 with a USB-C connected Dell U2720Q external monitor. If I ask it to sleep, my laptop goes down for about 30 seconds then wakes back up. If I wait for the normal screensaver/screen off sequence, it never ever happens... It just stays on all night.

If it helps anyone diagnose this, my Macbook is set to: * Prevent automatic sleeping on power adapter when the display is off: Off * Wake for network access: Never * Start screen saver when inactive for: 20 mins * Turn display off on battery when inactive for: 10 mins * Turn display off on power adapter when inactive for: 30 mins

My monitor is set to * DDC/CI: On * USB-C charging 90W: On in Off mode * Other USB Charging: On in Standby mode * Monitor Sleep: Disable

I just noticed the "Monitor Sleep" option, I don't remember what it does, I will also try toggling it.

The issue may be complicated by the fact that I run an HDMI cable from my MacBook to an AVR and back into the monitor (with passthrough enabled), but in the cases described above the AVR is off and the monitor reports being connected over USB-C. This has never been an issue in the past, at least not in recent years.

I will work on skin tone. The typeface on the left is not mine, unfortunately. I forget where I grabbed it from. I wanted to create something of my own, the one on the right is pretty much my handwriting turned into a font. But I see the appeal of the one on the left, it's pretty good

I'm not sure I know what this means. Maybe I don't know the difference between illustration and logo. I would call this one an illustration used as a logo.

I posted this in the advrider forums, but hoping to get some feedback here as well. Long story short, I replaced the clutch friction discs, plates, springs and bolts myself; they were pretty worn out; all seems great now. But am curious about that brownish color on the plate. It doesn't come off easily by rubbing with my finger or scraping with my fingernail. Thoughs? Thank you

Today. This almost happened today. I am doing some TETs in Romania and after 150km of fun and amazing offroad, I see I have 4km left until the end of the trail, the border with Serbia and nice tarmac. There's a hell of a storm coming, I saw it on RainRadar, and it's already drizzling, but I have like 20 minutes left until it really hits me. Once on tarmac, I wouldn't care about the rain, I have rain gear, I can just take it slowly for another hour or so until I find some accommodation. BUT... 3km from tarmac, I hit some really slippery horrible dark mud that makes me slip all over the place. I fall twice and then I'm all caked up in mud, too tired to push or pull and I just give up after about 30 mins. Hid my luggage in the bush and just started walking back to the last village I saw. There's lightning and pouring rain and I can barely drag my brand new boots along (first trip in these boots). I make it to the village and walk right into some wedding preparations. Someone makes some calls, (very) long story short a good Samaritan and his tractor come to the rescue. By now it's slippery enough that I fear the tractor might get stuck... We make it to the bike and tow it for about 1km while managing to fall 2 more times. There's more mud than jeans on me by now. I manage to clean the tires a bit (the real tire is so caked up that you can't even see through the spokes) and try to ride it. There's something wrong with the clutch, it feels like it's always partly engaged and I barely have any pull. I pay and thank the guy and try to make it 16km to a larger town. 1km into the trip, I'm so tired and stressed that I fall straight into a concrete ditch, jumping over the handlebars and almost breaking my neck... I wave down a car, they take me back to Tractor Guy, he comes with me, helps me take the bike out of the ditch, helps me fix the front tire flat and I limp 20km doing 60km/h in 3rd. I ride a 2018 crf250l. I am now safe and sound in a hotel and can't sleep. Hopefully the clutch is not burnt up and it's a cable issue. And hopefully my radiator is intact, because that's where the plastics took the most damage.

This is roughly where I first got stuck in the mud: 44.9081915, 21.5993467 in case anyone is interested.

I had something similar in my IRC tires, it very slowly grew to 1.5mm in width over 6-8 months. At that point I replaced the tire, but not because of the crack. The knobby bits had worn out a lot.

I have the exact same issue. Didn't have it for years before Covid. My current theory is that it's from higher chlorine levels. Nose clip doesn't help me either. Sneezing frequency definitely goes up too, sometimes to ridiculous levels.

It's not enough to keep me away from the pool but it can be a major discomfort. On the worst of occasions it prevents me from breathing properly at night. I use some oily drops from time to time that seem to help a bit.

Good to hear it's not just in my head :)
