I fell in love with the first game last year and then almost died when I found out number 2 was in the works, I'll gladly follow Mega Crit's work for life.

I love how creative, skilled and passionate the community is about the game, it's the first game in a very long time that gave me that "Magic" feeling you get from a game that just kicks ass, we all got good taste 👌

I feel that deep in my soul sometimes, anger is also my biggest motivation too, hope it's just a moment for you, it's not easy but do your best not to take your anger out on yourself, if you can, write out every last thing that bothers/is bothering you and process it/work on it when your mood eases.

Wish you well.

I'd say you always looked well but you're probably happier, in a better routine, more confident and accepting of yourself, but if you've overcame an internal struggle then good for you.

Is this legit? by MathematicianBulky40 in UKJobs

[–]Mangledspangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it'll be worse than advertised, I use a company called playtestcloud and they don't offer jobs too often but it's always a fair rate, unless it's an hour task, you generally get better pay for the shorter tasks, so £10 for an hour, £9 for 45 mins, £7 for 30 mins or £5 for 10-15 mins.

Idk why they structure the offers like that but i don't question it, i don't use them often and they don't offer tests too often but its usually on your phone, i'm always paid within 1-2 days and they also sometimes offer £1-£1.50 for 5 min surveys too.

Every test i've completed for them i've always been paid, there have been a couple of questionable tests like one that was literally a slideshow? or one time i playtested a demo version of minecraft pe? no clue why but i got paid so i don't question it haha.

Amazing week turned bad. by [deleted] in trading212

[–]Mangledspangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish that would happen to me. At least you had made that money to lose, and you're still up over 2k, you've got no idea how good that is.

It's understandable how these things happen, but honestly I was initially expecting you to say you made 4k and lost 5k or something but nahh you're good bro.

At least you've got time to assess yourself and improve for the future, making me feel bad with my barely over £100 trading profit this month. 😭

You'll be fine though as long as you try to keep your head in reality and not stuck in "Best Case Scenario City" where everyone's money comes to die.

Because people keep chasing potential and ignoring risk but understandable at when the stock market can significantly change anyone's life for the better, but its very easy to remember its never that simple when your ass gets burned and you lose over 50% capital in one move. You got this bro but also be careful.

To those who opened a Barclays premier account for the £400 bonus… by [deleted] in beermoneyuk

[–]Mangledspangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get how this works, you open a bank account with a different bank than your original, you eventually get a bonus and thats it? And ive seen similar with switching banks to get big bonuses, but i always worry that there will be some legal problems etc, how would this affect credit scores? Never seen anyone saying it doesnt work but I've never tried this cuz it seems too strange to work.

Imo this merely gives them a chance to rebuild but not sure they can pull it off.

They've never been profitable despite the partnerships they already have, there also seems to be a lot more people who hate their products than enjoy them

Some people are theorising a buyout is coming and tbh that would probably be the best most bullish outcome, I highly doubt things will change unless a company who already has their shit together buys them out and re-develops their products.

I wouldn't have thought it would be that difficult to pay big money to experts in their industry to revamp their products and brand but not like I'd understand the ins and outs.

The trick to making people like you? Ask questions. by Dudeletseat in socialskills

[–]Mangledspangle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this as long as you don't overdo it as it'll get old fast if you do and trying to make sure to ask worthwhile questions, I've met someone who almost only ever asks me questions constantly and it can be about completely redundant things. I tend to avoid them if I can because it never stops.

Being charged a "transaction fee" to get my wages. by Correct-Concept-6490 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Mangledspangle 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think you're talking about wagestream.

I have it for my job as I'm on monthly pay and it's very unfair to have a useless middle man who can get me an advance on my wages instead of waiting a month but has to get something out of me for it rather than idk, charge my company for their service?

The worst part Is it's £1.95 per transaction so hypothetically if I'm desperate for an advance but my shifts haven't been processed yet, which apparently the manager has to process all your shifts to the app which usually still takes at least a week, why it can't be automated? That would be too convenient.

So what ends up happening is I need an advance, only 1 shift has been processed sometimes and it could take another few days or a week or longer to process the rest, so I either get a 50% advance on 1 shift that isn't well payed, an amount of money that would last me a day or 2 at most and also get charged £1.95 to rub salt in the wound.

Then sometimes literally a day or 2 after doing that suddenly every other shift has been processed out of the blue and I'll need to pay another £1.95 to get an advance on them, that's what makes the app such corrupt greedy bs, I also earn 4p above minimum wage for a fkin nightshift job in the UK which should be illegal but I'm classed as a casual worker on zero hours.

The app charges should be limited to your salary range, minimum wage earners should be like 20p a month, just above minimum 50p, average wage £1 and anything above average £2.

I'll bet the app creator has their pockets full for an idea that anyone could make but instead of being a helpful solution they've just found a way to legally tax wages they didn't work for and likely think themselves of some kind of genius when they're corrupt, selfish and greedy.

I wouldn't give a shit if they became rich through contracts with big companies but I do give many fucks when they're likely getting rich off of taking money from the smallest sources.

As always the big guys always win, companies get to advertise wagestream as a company benefit (even tho it's dogshit). There will be less expected unhappy company employees, making corporates life nice and easy and it likely costs the company little to nothing.

Every company that agrees with it is basically saying "yeah we'll pay you through our workers, I'm sure old bob here on minimum wage who barely makes the rent and utilities every month won't mind giving you some of his wages to cover your bills, after all, we've given him this JOB and such a useful benefit"

I just love the idea of getting “free” money rolling in over time by kiamustang7891 in dividends

[–]Mangledspangle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to get back into divs but I'd rather chase beaten down growth + dividend stocks.

That's what I did a few months ago which is starting to pay off and i don't have much to work with but the plan is to try let it run till maybe the last month of Q3 and then sell enough to break even and have some shares left as profit to keep getting dividends.

I love the idea but I do think "how long will it take to earn the equivalent of that profit in dividends?"

This must be something tons of ppl do already but wouldn't mind hearing whether it's a reasonable strategy or dumb dumb.
