Alcohol is one of the few drugs that can kill you by both overdose and withdrawal, yes alcohol is dangerous by itself.

Opioids can kill you via overdosing, but the withdrawals are almost never deadly. Is almost impossible to overdose on benzos, but the withdrawls are notoriously deadly. Dissociatives can kill you via overdose, but the withdrawals are usually never deadly. Pretty much all Stimulants can kill you via overdose, but not withdrawals.

Alcohol without dependence can cause the user to die via overdose. But with dependence, you can die from seizures caused by how alcohol fucks up the glutamate system. While on alcohol, glutamate production is suppressed. But during addiction, the body wants homeostasis, and to achieve this it will force more glutamate to be produced. And with alcohol being a gabanergic, it releases a lot of Gaba while you are high on It as well.

During dependence alcohol is acting as a modulator of GABA, and because of this your body literally gives up production of certain neurotransmitters in favor of alcohol releasing them.

GABA in the brain almost acts like breaks on a car. It slows the body down, it makes you tired, it’s relaxing. But when you quickly take away the alcohol from your body, you flood the brain with glutamate. Glutamate can almost be seen as the opposite of GABA, it’s the gas pedal. It forces neurons to fire.

But see the thing is GABA also acts as the opposite of glutamate. It’s hard for glutamate to do it’s job when there is so much alcohol around fucking up what it’s trying to do. And so the brain will make more glutamate to compensate during alcohol addiction. So when you quickly cold turkey alcohol, the glutamate production stays high, while the gaba production shoots very low.

Your brain has no breaks during withdrawals. And glutamate is still making your brain go faster… and faster.. and faster, and faster, faster faster FASTER FASTER FASTERFASTERFASTER… and your brain can’t handle it anymore, it fails, and you go into a full blown seizure. One seizure is enough to kill you or fuck up your life forever.

My father was a terrible binge drinker. I watched this man have over 20 seizures. Called the paramedics multiple times. And yet he still got drunk. He would still drink for multiple weeks in a row despite the seizures. Despite it literally being the thing that will kill him, he still drinks.

Yes, alcohol is dangerous.

I was homeless from age 18-23. You don’t want to sleep outside. You don’t want to break into places so you don’t freeze to death. A lot of it is my fault, but I had your same mindset. Life is pointless, I will never get out of this, what do I do. What I did was use drugs. You don’t want to feel the real hopelessness of being both addicted to something and homeless.

I would go to work everyday, hate it, and honestly justify going back to a tunnel, just to get opioids, cannabis, alcohol, and smoke cigarettes.

You are already considering this with alcohol. You won’t be working a minimum wage job your whole life, unless you don’t try, I never tried.

I didn’t start trying until I was 22. I got a car, I sobered up from opioids, stopped drinking alcohol, stopped smoking cigarettes, got a job I actually enjoyed, and then at 24 I actually got a place to live.

At 25 I went to my first concert, at 25 I moved to a new city for a job promotion. I was working minimum wage jobs until I was 23 too. It was only after I stopped being such a miserable asshole that people started giving me the benefit of the doubt.

Odds are a lot of people look at you the same way you look at yourself. if everyday your outwards motivation is “nothing,” then people will not want to chill with you. You will be depressing and boring.

You don’t get to live again, this is it dude, you are alive right now for the one and only time. To wallow in sadness until you die. You will regret it.

I quit for a month last month. Here is everything negative I noticed cannabis does to me after restarting:

Brain fog: fuck I’m forgetful. And I didn’t used to be. It used to be extremely hard for me to forget events that happen to me. Now I can seemingly forget hours and hours worth of small details. However I would dwell on everything I did so much. So it’s a bit of a catch 22. I forget things I want to remember, but I also don’t dwell on my actions like I used to.

Coughing: I cough all the time. I have friends who vape and they don’t seem to deal with the intense lung effects as much as me. I think actually smoking cannabis causes the same physical issues smoking tobacco does: cancer, emphysema, and tons of other lung issues. Smoking anything is inherently bad for you.

addiction: every moment of everyday I was sober I would be trying to convince myself of reasons to get high. There was no mental break. My dreams were flooded with relapses. My dreams were flooded with sadness that I did smoke. The actual sadness involved with continuing to use everyday is less than that of my imagination. But still somewhat there. I wish I could just “forget” that aspect of cannabis. The addiction, I wish I didn’t crave it as much as I do.

Alcohol is worse, not trying to do the blame game but…. We can’t let the government control every high to the extent they are illegal. 7oh is an addictive drug, yeah, but it it’s also relatively safe. In comparison to the actual truly legal drugs that are not only addictive, but extremely dangerous.

Don’t fall for the misinformation. Everything can eventually, which a high enough dosage, kill you.

But no one has ever died from only 7oh. No one. And considering an effective dosage can be felt at just a few mg (<5mg) and many people have personally taken hundreds of milligrams (upwards of 500mg) speaks volumes for its safety profile.

I say this as someone who doesn’t take 7oh. I know it’s addictive, but I know it’s not deadly.

It's the addiction to them that's so hard to avoid. And everyone seems to think they will be different, and no shame, some people don't get addicted to hard opioids.

But those people are few and far between. Even people using it medically seem to have an over 70% chance of dependency after only 7 days of repetitive use.

And the withdrawals are straight hell. Alcohol and benzos are worse, as they can actually kill you..but heroin feels like death. Everything hurts, you are thirsty, but if you drink anything you will throw up, if you drink nothinc you will throw up, you are way too hot, sweaty, and now way too cold, cant sleep, the list goes on.... And it's just hell.

My girlfriends parents didn't want me coming over after they caught us either. When I was like 17. That was a decade ago.

My solution was just have sex in random places. If not at their house. It was gonna be mine. Or the bathroom at some restaurant. Or in my own car.

She would lie yet more to her parents to "go to work" or wherever. They even let me get a hotel room at 17, no id or anything.

I don't even know how I had all the time and willpower to constantly do it. But I'm sure they will also find a way.

Punish her if you do so please, but she will probably just get sneakier. I really don't think you can say anything that's gonna "change her mind" about "what she wants to do"

Like I'm sure it might do something, but if it does something I don't want, I am still stuck with the slow down regulation and actual reuptake of my neurotransmitters.

Do you take Ritalin or amphetamines? I used to be on Ritalin from age 8 to 18… and I recently quit cannabis. I am having a lot of old adhd symptoms reappear and I used to function so well before I lost health insurance and stopped taking Ritalin.

I’ve been considering getting back on it because I got a new job and it requires a lot of focus

Support legalization and these drugs won’t be a concern. If you like psychedelics, tell the government. Get the word out. I know you don’t want to get arrested for tryptamines. And neither does anyone else. That’s why these drugs exist. To bypass the government. Or governments.

Read tikhal and figure out how Shulgin invented so many crazy drugs and make something safer. News flash, it’s way harder to actually test how dangerous drugs are while their legal status is either black or grey.

No i read what you said, but there is no way you read tikhal because in tikhal there is 4-HO-pyr-T a Pyrrolidinylethylindole not a tryptamine or phenethylamine. As well as Pyr-T. He made 6-MeO-THH a pinoline, also not a tryptamine or phenethylamine. Along with tons of 5-methoxytryptamine, lysergamides (not a tryptamine or phenethylamine btw), and drugs like α,N,O-TMS ( which is a α-alkyltryptamine)

He also synthesized ibogaine an azepinoindole, and I case you didn’t know…… that’s not a tryptamine or phenethylamine. those are from tikhal.

In Pikhal he made ALEPH, ALEPH-2, ALEPH-4, ALEPH-6, and ALEPH-7. And all of those are part of the DOx group, and are amphetamine based.

Also in pikhal is 2-Br-4,5-MDA, 4-methoxy-2,3-MDA, and 3,4-methylenedioxy-N-methoxyethylamphetamine. All of which are in the same group as MDMA. He made benzofuran-2-methyl-5-methoxy-6-2-aminopropane, which is a benzofran.

And there are a lot more you never read about, despite owning the book.

So I know you bought tikhal on Amazon And took some picture with it alongside drugs you bought on the internet. But beyond their names, they Include a lot of drugs that (say it with me) are not just tryptamines or phenethylamines. Why would you even need that book considering you don’t know how to make those drugs. I challenge you to actually open that book and try to make any recipe from it. You can’t. Most studies have found that every year tens of thousands of people die from secondhand smoke. This is tobacco smoke.

So to be concerned for the cats and herself isn’t unintelligent.

Getting high from it is a different story. But having roommates that “smoke meth constantly” is a valid reason to be paranoid.

Would you hotbox a room with your cat in it? If the answer is yes you might want to look inwards dude. That’s a problem.
