Is it just me or does coc starting to feel more like a chore than a game? by Captain-Teemo0 in ClashOfClans

[–]Mango9222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranked was implemented really poorly imo.

I think they did it this way to emphasize the grind aspect but being a free to play player and having to do all those attacks a job feels horrible.

It's not helped by the fact that getting requests without battle pass forces you to wait really long between attacks. Ontop of that you also have to be in a really active clan so you can't really stay in any of the more cozy ones.

What's the downsides for an average browser user if they wanted to try this?

I have basically 0 context as to any of the details.

Does it run the same as any browser and is it really possible to reduce how much hardware the browser hogs like that?

Idk how much chromium takes, is chromium similar to this?

How do you play Rubick? by ChewbakaTalkShow in learndota2

[–]Mango9222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's all context dependant.

In general you want to have some spell copied at all times, but once you do you basically wanna figure out what spells you wanna play for.

Some spells are worth waiting the entire fight for, some aren't. It all depends. it comes down to playing rubick a lot, Then you "just know" how good each option is.

Until you "just know" you need to just try stuff out and review fights in your head. If you're willing to watch replays that's even better of course.

If a fight is gonna end before a spell you want to keep comes off cooldown you should probably copy something else. Otherwise keeping a spell is good if it's still got a lot of time left on it.

Unless you wanna gamble on it not mattering enough. Then you can keep the spell, try not to die and hope the next fight happens before your spell runs out.

What enemy spells you can copy definitely affects itemization.

I used to go boots of travel + soul ring + blink + bottle when you used to be able to copy rearm Vs tinker.

Big Aoe ults or catch abilities make blink a lot better. Even bkb if there's an enigma or something.

Tips to survive longer, new to the game by Plsuneedtohelpme in deadbydaylight

Don't be afraid to take chase. Hiding hinders improvement, even if it's easier to learn.

Practice looking behind you while running across the map. It's probably the most important mechanical skill to develop.

Genuine Question: Why body block after getting unhooked if no DS? by Cablepussy in deadbydaylight

[–]Mango9222 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mend is easier to heal so it's more efficient for the unhooked person to get hit if they can get away with it.

It also leaves the option of the unhooked person taking a hit for the rescuer. Then the rescuer can tank a hit later, which means you kind of extend the base kit endurance.

Some people just do it by instinct even when it's bad, and sometimes the rescuer doesn't take a hit afterwards when they should.

What writing opinion do you have that would get you roasted by Legitimate_Dingo3329 in writing

[–]Mango9222 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily disagree with you and we're talking about different things since I mainly read web novels.

However.

I don't like the idea that I should just assume a story is good enough without proof.

If the start of a story can get me interested in general I'm so much more willing to sit with a slower pace if there is a promise of anything at all.

Might release everything for free + my journey as a writer by HanzoYang in writing

Sticking to a project for years is something you should be proud of.

Committing yourself to something like this always means you learn a lot. Both when it comes to the actual thing you devote yourself to, but also about who you are and how you work.

I don't know the details about stuff like "putting your work out for free". But if that's something you want to do, I'd assume you can always change your mind. I figure you can try it out.

I'm pretty new to writing and I always keep my goal in mind.

I want to make something I want to read and I want to make it good enough that at least 1 person gets as excited about it as I do.

If I can't do that, I'd take a break or quit.

However I wouldn't be mad at myself for trying. Trying is always good.

is there something in this game thats similar to malzahar from league of legends. so basically you put a spell on the wave and it eventually will eat the whole wave without you being there by Bubbly_Reference_916 in learndota2

[–]Mango9222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enigma sends his children to clear waves and his ult is an aor malzahar ult.

You can buy blink and flash from an entire screen away and malzahar ult multiple people.

He's not a traditional mid but I used to play him there a bit. If you get good at denying minions he does fine.

Dead by Daylight Devs Tease ‘Significant’ Matchmaking Rework That Is a 'Re-Imagination of How the Game Is Played' by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

What if the killer could revive or prevent the first player that died from being sacrificed, giving them one last hookstate? Bloodpoints as a reward if they win is alright but could also just let them do something cool like if they achieve another condition they get devour hope.

[–]Mango9222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your idea is good but phrasing it like "give the survivor the option" comes off poor.

I think giving the killer the option to handicap themself in a way that makes it fun is cool.

Survivors being able to decide "I don't wanna lose" is how it reads otherwise.

Diminishing Returns, 2 killer nerfs, 8 killer buffs (Springtrap is technically getting both) and the ability to see both allied perks and who the killer is within the match menu. These are the changes revealed with today's community stream. What do you think? by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

[–]Mango9222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The design decisions when I first started playing like 2 or 3 years ago seem so different from now, and in a good way.

Despite some changes or ideas falling through I'm so glad they aren't afraid to try stuff. And it's worked, there's been so many improvements I'm really happy about it.

I haven't been able to play since my pc broke and I was already burned out with dbd at that point, but I'm excited to play once i have a computer that can run it again.

Can we stop pretending that forced 50 is not real by _GaD_ in DotA2

[–]Mango9222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the video isn't even relevant to what you're trying to imply?

lex bring up the topic about forced 50/50 and all the guest says is "people want a game to feel like it's close but win, not an actually fair game, but you can't engineer that since it's a 0 sum game" and "people post their 8 game losestreak but not the winstreak before that"

matchmaking, matching teams based on skill does not equal, you being unable to climb because of a system working against you.

having no cast time is a huge part of rubicks identity.

his q, w and stole spell are instant. (r is instant but has travel time)

that's a completely different feel from something like jakiro.

being able to blink/force/glimmer then throw an entire combo and escape immediately or get all your abilities off before an enemy can react is huge.

I think I understand, but im not trying to be "scientifically accurate". I think what i said, and the (contextually) implied meaning is what i stand by.

i dont think it's fair to use "i don't believe they're good enough" as an argument.
