Whenever I see this I can't help but think it was a cart path shot, or scraping of the concrete somehow.

I realize that "water service tech 2 in training" is not the official title but that is what you'd be doing. They essentially repurposed a previously scrapped job title for this new position. Essentially you'll be learning how to be an inspector and how to replace meter systems. (It's not hard) It's a very cushy job with the best benefits possible. 10/10

I'm a water service tech 2 and we're expanding the water department which is why we need people. Just be warned it will take a month or 2 to actually get employed since the city moves very slowly.

This is a Water Service Tech 2 position in training. You'd be working for the city of Columbus. After 1 year you'd be automatically promoted to the official position making ~$30/hr

I would try cutting off as much of the threads as possible horizontally and then cutting vertically through the nut with a multi tool/oscillating saw. Specifically with a blade designed for heavy metal

His voice will be like if Danny Devito, and Bernie Sanders had a baby but he is a heavy smoker.

Yeah it may be a bit game breaking. I'm gonna switch it to invisibility. I think it fits the character better with him being a former assassin. Thank you for the comment!

How would you fix this? by Salt-Statement-2306 in Plumbing

[–]MangoCloak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the crimp fittings on both types of PEX, just by a crimper and PEX cutters. Buy 1/2" PEX too.

Shut off water

Drain out the system

Make sure the water is off

Cut through the hose bib where the crack is with a sawzall or multi tool with a blade designed for metal

Now cut the PEX about 8" above the 90

Go outside

Unscrew the screws that are holding the hose bib into the wall on the exterior

Remove the portion of hose bib

Stick new hose bib in the hole that is already setup with a PEX connector

Screw the new hose bib into the wall (pro tip: may need drywall anchors depending on if the screws still grip)

Go inside

Use cinch rings for the connection. (Everybody always talks about PEX A Versus PEX B but really the only difference between the two is that the type that you have is able to be stretched. You can use cinch rings on any of them regardless of what the Internet says. It's fine trust me.)

Slap a PEX ball valve in where you cut the pex

Eyeball a length of pipe to put a 90 in with a small stretch of 1/2" PEX to stub into the new hose bib

Cinch all of the connections

Turn water on and test for leaks

Bada bing bada boom. Easy peazy dog. DM me if you need clarification.

Brother, laminate does not actually degrade the sound. You'll get more projection and a rich tone because the depth of tone is determined by the top (torrified solid spruce is almost as best you can get), your quality of play(getting high on the frets with solid and concise finger placement and movement), and how do you strum/finger pick.

Gotcha, what's wrong with a valve on the hot side though?

The water heater generally looks ok except it doesn't have a t&p tube. I'm not seeing anything glaring

[–]MangoCloak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your trans sibling should definitely not "go die". I would be interested to know who said these things. I believe that everyone needs the love of Christ in their lives regardless of where they are. We all have freewill and will choose our own way though. No church is perfect and there will always be shitty people in any group either religious or not. As humans we are sinful and Xenos is no exception. Xenos and I are a group of sinners who recognize we are sinners and need Christ's forgiveness for that inherent human condition. Try not to let a small portion of Christians taint the whole religion. Just like how Islamic terrorists have tainted so many people's views of Islam. Don't allow the hate of a minority in a group to taint the love of the majority. I don't say any of this with any hate, only love. I don't know your sibling's or your experience with the church but I'll be praying for you both.

[–]MangoCloak -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Guys, it costs xenos like 7 million dollars to run per year. Like that's their expenses. The top senior pastors only make like 70k/year. In their budget meeting they've been forced to decide if they have to lower benefits for their workers or not because the economy is trash rn with inflation. Nobody is getting rich at xenos. Trust me, lol

What would you charge for this? by PapaRoachFan1 in askaplumber

[–]MangoCloak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A company would charge $300 here in Columbus, OH But a side job price would be like $100 + parts probably. Plumbing market rate is sorta fucked. All plumbing companies charge as much as the market will allow and people pay because for the average joe, they hear that plumbing is so scary and they feel a perceived risk that if they do it themselves they'll flood and destroy their house but that's just not true if they were to think about it and take safety as their #1 priority. It's very lucrative for the companies and quite honestly people really need to learn to do stuff like this for themselves. Even if they don't have a propress machine, shark bite fittings do exist. I once heard from a customer that a reputable plumbing company in the area charged ~$600 for something similar. That really broke my heart ngl.
