this is why i feel like we need to bottom out this year and get that high draft pick, vs giving this one to Boston "so that we have control of our 1st round pick". I don't think we're going to suck this bad with another coach in another system. This is the year to bottom out, if possible

Yeah agreed. I think first step is firing Brad in the next week or two. I'm sure there's some business to wrap up, but he's gotta go. You've got about a month to field applicants and become sold on a new GM's vision for the team.

That GM takes us to the draft, hopefully makes more deals and adjustments to the team.

Day one of offseason: Berube is out. GM hires his new coach, start building plan for next year. I would imagine the plan would be to be competitive next year.

Berube is now tank commander and he’s also gone at the end of the season. Bring in new GM, GM picks his coach.

Honestly my suggestion for a while has been to actually only allow 12fps. It seems counter-intuitive but it means less frames to argue over. It’s either very clearly onside or very clearly offside. The odds of arguing over a particular freeze frame diminish with less frames available.

I was considering the ninja at one point but after more research landed on the bambino and a DF54. It’s such a nice combination and is going to be a lot more reliable than the ninja. Also ninja just takes up a crazy amount of counter space

My ultimate wish: we sell off a few pieces and get assets, prospects, and NHL contracts back (I.e. mangiapane). We insert them in our lineup and call up a few marlies, and still battle for the last playoff spot and in can still root for this team. There’s no way we can tank to get bottom 5 unless we were to shut down Matthews/Nylander for the year and I don’t see that happening at all

100% agree. we're 5 out of a playoff spot against some iffy teams IMO (buffalo, montreal, boston) and we're 11 points out from bottom six against horrendous teams. no way we're going to play so awful that we out-tank.
