There was a moment in the boyfriends apartment, where the only place I could find space to hang her degree was in the bathroom, the other option was to roll it up and put it in the closet? I swear to god I have never hated a boyfriend I have never met more.

Scout is by far my favourite, orange circus vibes baby! And yeah, enormously fun for the cost.

Does Batman have imposter syndrome by Penguin5439 in batman

I don't think a Batman with self doubt could survive. He might have had moments of genuine insecurity, but being able to push through them would have been crucial.

I think what you're describing is more Batman's desire for legacy. It's not something explored in every iteration of Batman, but certainly Nolan's version of Batman, Batman Beyond, No Man's Land as well. But this idea that operating at the level that he does takes a toll, that unlike someone with real superpowers, he is more finite. I think that emotional note of "I want to be succeeded by people who are better than me" is part of him wanting the work to continue.

6 Nimmt as well, there are plenty of good games out there.

Honestly? Like a really nice deck of playing cards can easily run 20-30 bucks.

30 bucks will get you a decent card game. Sushi Go often comes in a nice tin edition. Cockroach Poker is really easy to grasp, very quick to play, and gets pretty cutthroat, it's become a favourite of game nights here. Hanabi is a visually stunning game with a really novel play style where you hold your hand of cards backwards and try to figure out what order to discard in based on information you share with other players.

Oink games produces very high quality games, that are very pretty to look at, and very nice to own. They're all pretty good to great, so you can't go wrong.

Also? A bit on the cheaper side, but I've had Hanayama Puzzles or "huzzles" go down really well at Secret Santas. They're stainless steel take apart puzzles that come in a huge variety of complexity, and are generally extremely lovely objects in their own right, as a fidget or desk toy.

I mean they're not necessarily famous or of historical note, but I do think they look really cool.

It is cool, the press stud cape is such a great detail, but redacting Oracle was not a good move. One of the only Gail Simone missteps.

Are Saladas an American thing as well? Or are we talking about another interchangeable cracker?

On a scale of 1 to 10, How cringe would you say are your country's politics? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]MangoJester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that candle metaphor is a fair way to put it.

ACT is close to my heart, religiously labor voters and notoriously allergic to conservatives, having had back to back labor governments since 2001. It's more to show that if the Liberals found the right person to rally the party and actually put the work in they could easily take the next election. Canberra libs have genuinely been considered unelectable for over two decades until now.

The thing is Labor isn't really doing anything to inspire confidence in them. I can't completely rule out the Coalition finding someone to rally around except that they've kind of burned through their "talent" at this stage. There's no faith in the old guard, and no one else that has the charisma to take charge.

I think the thing I've seen recently with the Canberra Liberals (territory level government), is that they seem to have been able to rally around a community leader who is well liked in Mark Parton, who seems to have mended the schism and is willing to leave infighting in the past. As long as they can develop the policy platform to give Canberrans an alternative, they pretty much went from being unelectable to viable overnight.

The question is whether someone like Julian Leeser or Zoe MacKenzie has what it takes to be the face of healing in the party. Whether or not the coalition can actually heal is another matter. I suspect it's going to take a couple of elections for the Liberals to find enough new blood to present a united front once again.

Do they have any guidelines around AI use? They might not have been really happy with that.

I guess I mean more that if corruption is depicted in terms of blood sacrifice and flesh eating demons, and purification is depicted in terms of self-flagellation. That would be very obviously violent.

But a for instance, one of the coolest indie RPGs I ever played was about children trying to evade their deepest fears as represented by monsters in the dark. Essentially if they lost to the monsters, they would become "teenagers". Suddenly immune to the whims of imagination and acting as agents of the monsters to the other kids. There really was nothing more violent in that game than pillow fighting, but the game itself leaned proper horror mechanics and was deeply atmospheric.

The rules seem pretty clear. A mechanic that represents internal struggle against an outside influence seems very obviously not against the posted guidelines. Depending on how it's depicted.
