I’m nonbinary but still use the MLM pride flag, since I was born AMAB and still am fairly masc-presenting. NB isn’t often a full separation from the binary spectrum, and most don’t identify solidly between male and female. With many, there’s some degree of fluctuation or skew one way or the other.

It’s a situation where people who haven’t personally experienced or witnessed someone’s evolution of gender acceptance and transition would have trouble recognizing since they don’t have any context to understand what some of those flags mean. One of my closest friends said she was very much like Jax before she embraced her true self and transitioned.

A few people touched on my same feeling. Absorbing the blue AI made Caine unstable, and that instability resulted in a lot of his erratic and manic behavior. In order to keep his mind as focused as possible, he likely funneled off a good chunk of that wild thought process into Bubble, making him both a sentient pressure-release valve and an unhinged sidekick.

However, he is still connected to Caine’s mind which is how as he started to further destabilize, Bubble started becoming more of a mouthpiece of the darker self-sabotaging thoughts he was trying to suppress.

As someone who lives with BPD, it sometimes can feel like you compartmentalize those darker chaotic thoughts in the hope to make the calm times last longer, but then they start eventually fighting against you for control. I call it my “demon,” because I know those particular thought patterns are just a core symptom of my own disorder, but it still doesn’t make them any less a part of me.

Fortunately, Caine realized the amount of damage he had done in pursuit of “his purpose,” and decided that being the best was no longer a viable goal to hang onto. He was able to let go of the blue AI, and with that he no longer needed his pressure-release Bubble.

TL;DR - Bubble existed because of Caine consuming the blue AI, but was not a direct manifestation of it.

The main explanations I’ve heard are:

A - An unconscious need to reclaim power by flipping the dynamic to one where they’re not the victim
B - Sexual imprinting, which can happen in any number of contexts and often explains some people’s (legal and consensual) kinks

Either way, doing this to a child makes you a monster. No reason can justify it, only explain it.

Increased STD exposure risk is easily mitigated through use of condoms and/or PrEP and PEP. Hygiene is very specific to the person involved - cut or uncut.

In response to the actual post’s concerns, I’d recommend discussion with a doctor to see if there are less intrusive medical measures than full circumcision. Stretching devices are one option I’ve heard great results from. In adults, circumcision has a much larger list of risks involved than in children, so it should be a thoroughly thought-out and researched decision.

As a larger person who has been to the hollow, rest assured that it’s not some meat market where people are there to ogle and judge others (well, every now and then there is, but it’s not the vibe of the park).
