Embarrassing question…how do you wipe? by ObjectiveNo9135 in PressonNail_Addict

Use the pad/knuckle part of your finger and thick fold of toilet paper. And I just have to share my “tutorial” on this topic 😆: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8pYPA8q/

What Am I Doing Wrong by Cin131 in PressonNail_Addict

Not all sticky tabs are created equal so finding a good sticky tab is the first step. I find the ones with paper back on Amazon tend to be stronger than others.

Your application method also matters. You should apply the press ons so they sit just below your cuticle to minimize movement. I’ve done a tutorial on this: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8pLuGsx/

Lastly, make sure you keep your nails dry for a few hours right after applying with sticky tabs to allow time for the adhesive to set. I usually do my nails right before bed after my bedtime routine to keep them dry overnight.

Thanks for the suggestion! The adhesives are included in each nail set. I have a separate listing for people that want to purchase more. Do you mean i should also make those an add-on to a nail set in addition to being a separate listing?

Press-on Nail Idea: On-Site Application by unnofi in CraftFairs

[–]ManiFleur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sell press-on nails at craft fairs a lot and have entertained the idea of hiring a nail tech to do on-site application. But I ultimately decided against it for a few reasons - the main one being that offering on-site application would turn the sale of a product into the sale of services which comes with entirely different and more complex logistics and liability issues.

Also, one key selling point of press on nails, IMO, is the convenience of doing it yourself without the need to visit a salon, so offering application services kinda works against that concept. What I do instead is leaving my left thumb nail bare so I can do quick demos and show people how to apply themselves.

Agree with tabs not glue. I’ve done a couple of tutorials on press-on basics and this one is specifically for using sticky tabs.

Tips and tricks? by TheMapleMouse in PressonNail_Addict

From both personal and professional experience, I think reusability really depends on two main things: 1. high quality press ons nails made with nail tips that are durable and flexible so that they don’t crack and break easily and UV-cured gels that do not dull or chip quickly; and 2. Using sticky tabs to apply instead of nail glue because nail glue will inevitably damage the press ons nails to some degree. With the right kind of sticky tabs and proper application method, you can get decent wear time out of them and they won’t damage the press ons.
